It has panoramic views of the Towy valley and water meadows. Since 1775 the castle, Newton house, gardens, woods and deer park have been integrated into a vast and beautiful landscape. There are footpaths through the park leading to the castle and bog wood and access to Castle Woods. Fallow deer and rare White Park cattle roam the park. | Open: | 23 March to 3 November daily (except Tuesday and Wednesday) 11 am - 5 pm (last entry 4.15 pm)
but the Wildlife Trust's land (woods and castle) are open to pedestrian visitors at all times free of charge.
