Elen from Cardiff is our 7 and under winner Colouring Competition - The Winners!

On August 10th and 11th 2002, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at the National Wetlands Centre Wales threw open its doors for a Mud Festival full of family fun. We had a great response to the Colouring Competition we held there and now Iolo Williams has judged the winners!

Here's what Iolo thought of the 7 and Under entries:

"There were a lot of really great entries, it was very hard picking a winner! Finally though congratulations to Elen from Cardiff in first place - lovely, eye-catching colours, especially on the head. A great picture."

A very well done to Elen, who wins Family Tickets to the Wetlands Centre and a BBC goodie bag. Click here to see Elen's winning entry.

Iolo was impressed with all the entries, including Elizabeth from Gorseinon - "I love the striking, strong colours Elizabeth has used, particularly the reds and blues", and Bronte from Llanelli, who Iolo felt "shows at a very early age something which I still haven't got, a flair for drawing!"

Megan wins our 12 and Under categoryThere was just as much quality in the 12 and Under category, and after much deliberation Iolo picked Megan from Llangadog as the winner. "Megan's entry had lots of great colour, it was really imaginative." Megan wins the family tickets along with a BBC goodie bag.

There were lots in this category that caught Iolo's eye, such as Gemma from Llanelli's colourful effort, and Huw from Trimsaran's "vivid and remarkably lifelike" entry.
Iolo WilliamsIolo offers his congratulations to all the entrants: "Well done to everyone who took part, not just the winners, as all the entries were extremely good."
