Farmland Habitat Nature Habitats

Habitat (noun)

"The natural home of an animal or plant."

(Oxford English Dictionary)

South West Wales has a huge range of habitats that are home to an enormous number of species, from the insects that crawl under the paving stones of an urban habitat to the gulls and waders that roost at the coast. Within each habitat type you will find varied 'micro-habitats', each home to a plethora of creatures and plants. Here we take a look at some of the habitats you can find in South West Wales.

You can find out more about habitats, and look at some 360-degree panoramics of them, over in Wild Britain, or have a look at a Nature walk that will take you out and about to see habitats up-close.
