    "I am writing a book about my early life in Portmanmoor Road, Splott, in the 50s called, believe it or not Portmanmoor Road. Anyone remember me or the family at no 13 which was my gran's second hand shop next to Bob Hockey? And the butchers where my mate Alan Jupe lived where we were always in trouble."

    "I recall the second hand shop and Charlie Lowe the butcher! Did you write your book Dave?"

    "Archie Saunders owned 'Sarnia Stores' at 141 Portmanmoor Rd on the corner of Bridgend St. Archie & Lucy raised their 13 children there."

    "I have come to the conclusion that the most entertaining information comes by word of mouth.
