Thurs 21 September - Cry rape?

"For many centuries, some women have taken men to the cleaners after they gave in to sex and then cried rape.

"Up until quite recently cases brought before the courts relied upon the accuser making a case and the accused defending himself. It then became a matter for a jury to take the side of the one who provided the best evidence.

"Recently we have the added 'benefit' of DNA evidence to either substantiate the claim of the supposed victim, or to knock the foundations of the case being tested.

"The interference of the politically correct brigade has quite often befuddled the case before the court, with the possibility that men were convicted in error.

"For many years the jury system has been relatively accurate in the resulting outcome of most cases. That is, until as stated, the meddling by third parties with an axe to grind, women libbers being a case in point.

"Now this week we have a classic case of an accusation being made, and the potential for four males to be jailed for a 'crime' they were accused of.

"Fortunately one of them had the presence of mind to record his own evidence, ultimately which gave a more just outcome to the case. The person who falsly accused him and his friends herself being incarcerated for lying to the court. Not to mention wasting police and CPS time and effort in bringimg the accusation in the first place.

"Maybe the extra fingers in the pot who have far too much to say for themselves, will think hard before claiming that virtually all claims of rape are genuine in future.

"Especially if men have the foresight to record the antics of some women who enjoy the game but then try to get some secondary satifaction by seeing the man or men squirm under the eyes of the judge and jury."
