Tues 22 August - Refuelling US planes

"I see that some high and mighty commission are attempting to have the British Government taken to task for allowing the refuelling of US military flights, because, they say, the planes carried a variety of bombs to Israel.

"I see a degree of danger in this complaint being brought to a successful conlusion for the following reasons.

"If it is to be the case that transport planes alighting on our soil temporarily to refuel can complained about, then all the fat people in the world, wishing to lose their bulk will have a justifiable complaint to make if we allow transports to tranship meat and such through our airports. Of course we would then maybe, have to expect the same complaints regarding our ports.

"The same goes for stick thin people, who could well complain that we are allowing planes to touch down empty, the same for ships entering our ports, 'Why is there no food on these transports?' being the cry.

"We could have complaint after complaint, the Russian temperance societies complaining we are using our airfields and ports to tranship American whiskey and beer to Russia to the exacerbation of their alcoholic problems.

" What about the crossing of our borders by any chemical product that could be used to make explosives, nuclear fuel to potentially make a nuke, and so on. Somewhere in the world we would be crossing someone up by allowing certain materials to be transhipped by a method requiring refuelling on our soil.

"I see this current complaint for what it really is, another go at the USA, us, and Israel. If we don't give them armaments, someone else will, so why do we not get these so called well respected commissions attacking Iran, and Syria, along with other nations who are transporting weaponry to the Lebanese gangster army, and no doubt provide refuelling facilities to that end.

"Once again we suffer the slings and arrows from the world's moaning mobs, who can find no wrong in what others do.

"I heard little from this commission about stealing jumbo jets and slamming them into an American office complex with the loss of some thousands of ordinary workers, its all one sided as I see it.

"As for the Geneva convention, I am of the mind to state that it is against that convention to enter into another country to snatch members of that countries armed forces.

"Israel did what was expected of them, get all up tight and retaliate. I cannot blame them in the slightest, they asked for the return of their personnel, gave a deadline that was not met, so took the action they said they would take.

"Such action required an ongoing supply of armaments that required replenishment, this came through our airports, so what? When the commission takes the other countries supplying to the Hezbollah utilising the same tactics then all's fair, but they haven't, probably will not, and I say go blow it out your ear.

"We are in the right, and if you don't like it, tough! Until the madmen of the middle east stop their aggresive behaviour, we should carry on doing what we have been doing, and to hell with this commission."
