Thurs 29 June - Murdoch murders democracy?
"So Rupert Murdoch is toying with the idea of backing Cameron through his list of sad rags is he?
"How entertaining and magnaminous of him to once again come into our electoral process, ...uninvited one may add.
"Where does this 'kangaroo' emigre from Down Under think he is coming from, more or less telling us, well in advance of any proposed election, that he is on the touchlines holding a watching brief in case Brown takes over from Blair, and 'HE' wants to see a 18 month matching period between Brown and Cameron to see which one of these two come into focus with HIS way of thinking.
"Does the term 'bloody cheek' hold any relevance here?
"The editorials in his range of news rags have done nothing for the democratic process in any of the countries in which he operates, so why are we putting up with his untimely, unnecessary, and definitely unwanted interference into our voting precedures?
"He could not even stick with his own nationality, changing horses in mid stream, and foisting himself on the US of A, as if they needed yet one more of his redneck ilk across the pond.
"What is important here is not what Murdoch wants, but what WE want, we are the ones to whom the ensuing outcome of any future election matters, not him. It is us who will have to bear the brunt of whatever party policies are handed down to us, not that old git from over seas.
"What right has he to tell us that we should not enter fully into a federated Europe - that is for US to decide. If we want to do so is our responsibility, not a matter for his unerudite press to decide.
"Why is the Labour party so stuck with cutching up to such a megalomaniac press baron? Surely they do not expect to have the rest of us in bed with him and his gang of twisters, or do they?
"Once again we have a situation of nothing changes as it stays the same, it appears. Suck up to the press and all's well with the world.
"Any wonder it is costing us taxpayers so many billions in wasted funds as we we carry on doing our Iraq thing, ably supported by the flag waving nationalistic papers owned and controlled by Murdoch and his crew."
