Russian diplomats killed in Iraq

Weds 28 June - Russian diplomats killed in Iraq

"The President of Russia has declared a 'fatwa' on those who have recently murdered four of his countrymen.

"Good for him, I hope his special forces do just the very thing he reckons they are about to do.

"What I think is the pits is the velvet glove approach to these so called Islamic fundamentalist thugs, be they in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran or anywhere else. We should also be targetting them, and without any twee human rights laws to help save their nasty skins.

"There is a movement that is so deep in indoctrinated fundamentalism, that it can only be cured by a complete and utter excision of it.

"One does not go under the scalpel wielded by a surgeon and expect that he gives up the operation at the first sight of blood.

"So it should be with these Islamic terrorists. Cut them out and to the dogs with their human rights. They totally refuse to accept the human rights of those they have put to the sword or gun or bomb, so why on earth are we so concerned not to 'hurt' them.

"Putin is on the ball with this one, more power to him and his killing squads. Maybe it's about time we sent some of our own SAS teams into the fray, or are they not up to it, having been subjected to the Human Rights lobby over the last decade or so.

"We were not so squeamish when we allowed the Americans to 'invade' Grenada, to oust a legitimately elected government, and we were not so velvet gloved when it came down to actually invading Iraq, but once there we suddenly pull back on the punches so that any Ali, Mohammed or Iqbal can throw his ill-gotten armaments at us in the name of his religion

"Rightly or wrongly we sit down and take the stick across our backs. We should be rooting them out by any means fair or foul, until they, and the rest of those who live there, know that the game is up.

"It's no use giving them what is basically an ASBO, it means nothing to those whose sole intent is to kill and maim.

"Invariably it comes across as something they get delight and satisfaction from, and when someone gets to that stage they can only be taken out by the most penal of methods, If that means erasing them, then let's do so, not send them to some holiday camp in Cuba.

"They may be out of the fray whilst there, but they still engender a feeling of martyrdom to their tyro apprentices in the terrorism game.

"Root and branch is the only cure for this terrible infliction on the globe, so let's get it together with Putin and do to them what they have done and are doing to us."
