Sat 6 May - Government reshuffle
"Tony Blair has done his shuffle dance at last, seems it took a smacking from a minute electorate at the lower eshcelons of power to cause him to make his move, but now it is done, so what are we likely to gain from it?
"Batwings Clark has gone, but those who were under him have not. The Straw man has gone, but the foreign policies are likely to proceed as is, regardless, Margaret Becket has taken his place (will she take lessons fron Condoleeza?) but Defra is under new management. Does that mean the farmers will now be made instant payments for the money the are owed?
"Of course not, as I stated in the final words of a recent 'Shout', nothing is changed as it stays the same."
"So just what has Tony Blair achieved by his dance? Very little I suggest.
"I have deliberately left out our erstwhile sea going Union man, good ol' Prezza, he is an absolute example of that quoted tenet.
"I just wish I could be made a deputy something or other on full pay and with no visible job to do to 'earn' it.
"Never mind, if I am still about in five years time I'll get a bit more pension (maybe another 25p per week?) and a free tv licence.
"Wowee! and Hurrah! for the present set up in Westminster."
