Sun 26 February - Sir Trevor Phillips on Muslims
"For once there is a national figure, the chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality, prepared to state publicly what many in this nation think, believe, and no doubt would uphold, if things come to a head in the matter of our lifestyle and legal system against that of another, that we take to be alien to our ways.
"There have been many on this 'Shout' who have responded to my comments, stating the very same thing. Expressly, if you cannot see your way to fall in line with our way of living, then you are under no obligation to remain, but should move off to another place where your point of view, and required lifestyle, is the norm.
"I suspect though, that with the levels of social security and other freedoms you obtain under our system, that you may well be unwilling to remove yourselves and your families for regions that will ensure you are found to be deprived of the good things in life.
"Why many of these people came here in the first place is not a mystery, they came seeking a better and more relaxed way of living than would be available to them in those states that practice the very laws they would try to have in place here, and which they will never do so.
"The cultural differences they express at every opportunity only tend to exacerbate the friction that is rising to the surface daily, add to that the demands for their religious pressures to come to bear on this OUR nation, is more than intolerable, it is downright facetious in the extreme.
"I go along with Sir Trevor Phillips - behave yourselves and accept that which is here, or leave and go in peace, and the very best of good fortune to you in your migration.
"I am sure that the countries that practice the things you seek will welcome the additional numbers added to their already overburdened social systems - (I don't think!)
"You will be as welcome as a hole in the head, which is more than likely what you will get when you arrive wherever it is you will go off to, if you do decide that the UK is no longer for you."
