Tues 14 February - Policewoman shot

"Here we go again, another female copper shot in an attempted burglary, but this time I expect that because it was in Nottingham there will be little likelihood of a result by the police.

"Was it not that very force's Chief Constable who told us he could not investigate murder in his manor because there were too many of those crimes happening, and not enough of his plods to take up the investigations?

"Well let's just see how strident and strenuous his plods are, now that it's one of their own lying in hospital.

"I think it is disgraceful that anyone should be shot, but it is more so when it is a police officer in the line of duty, even more so again, that it is a bullying rat who has turned a gun on a woman.

"It is comforting to hear she WAS wearing a body protective jacket, but how unfortunate that the assailant aimed low.

"Did he know that was likely to cause the injury, if so, and if they apprehend the swine, then he should be incarcerated forever.

"That he shot low could well have done damage that will prevent her having children in the future, and I call that nauseating in the extreme. Not only will she be severely traumatised from her experience, but could easily be sterilised as well. What a potential for stress that will present to her.

"Throw the key away, and fed him on scraps pushed under the cell door, and even that would be far too good for him. Better yet lace his food with something nasty that will ensure he cannot ever rise from his bed to be in the position of being able to carry out a similar act. Give him a ready noosed rope and a hook to tie it to.

"That will be good enough for him, and maybe will let any other thug that carries a gun or knife, know, that this will be the fate that awaits them if they do anything like this act of violence in the future.

"I extend that suggestion into the public domain also, not just for the copper on the beat."
