Tues 7 February - Apologetic 'suicide bomber'

"Isn't it a pity that the idiot demonstrator who wore the apparell of a suicide bomber is named Omar Khayam.

"That worthy, who lived, like Mohammad, in the desert regions of the middle east, gave us some cracking good poetry that reflected on our present day lives with illuminating phrases.

"Not for him the moronic activities of the present day mobsters who claim to represent Islam.

"His was a more gentler outlook on life, and it is significant that these present day morons choose to express their disatisfaction with their lot in life by attempting to upset the stability of the world order by bombing and causing mayhem in general wherever, they show their (usually obscured) faces.

"Not for the Poet of Persia the route to damnation chosen by these cranks who profess to follow the teachings of Islam, when in fact they corrupt the very nature of that religion.

"Theirs is not the way to salvation as sought by the present day Christian or Jew, Buddist or others of a similar trend. No, they must try to enforce their own brand of belief on the rest of us by methods of intimidation, threat and murder all in the name of Allah.

"What sort of a God do they think this Allah is, a rabid slaughterer of the meek and mild? Or maybe they expect to enter the gates of paradise hoisted high on the shoulders of a god who will applaud their atrocities, and welcome them into their version of heaven with palm leaves and flowers, as they cross the threshold.

"Some hopes! I am afraid you are seriously under a misapprehension if you think in those terms, even your Koran deprecates suicide, never mind the massacre of many in the name of Allah. He who is supposed to be a munificent divinity would never accept this type of behaviour, no more than the world temporal accepts it today.

"You are like a bunch of bullying schoolboys who have found a way to get your own way, by beating and bullying, but, just like those bullies, you are nothing more than cowards, not heroes, martyrs or persons to be admired. You are simply mentally unstable killers and bandits, out for your own ends, and to hell with all you feel may be opposing you.

"It just won't work as you find out to your cost when you do not find a paradise waiting for you after your bomb mangled body is scraped from the surfaces it is spread over. What a waste of life and effort and all for nothing."
