Visit To Stackpole

Last updated: 03 December 2005

30 members went on a weekend trip to the National Trust Stackpole Education Centre in Pembrokeshire. It was a hit with the kids...

"We saw lots of things - sheep, cows and big fields. It took three hours to get there. When we got to Tenby we had a picnic. We played on the beach and had sand fights and wrote our names on the sand. It was sad to leave Tenby so soon. After about half an hour we got to the Stackpole Centre. There was a big running circuit with hockey sticks and badminton, an arcade room, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and an art room. We even made a tee shirt with a picture."

"I played badminton, hockey and pool plus playing tag with Frisbees. I went swimming with my friends and nearly drowned. I liked the Stackpole Centre because there are lots of secret paths to your bedrooms. There was enormous hill we climbed up and some people couldn't get down. After that I played Volleyball. My mum's friend Shahara was a brilliant player. She was a lethal weapon in the middle but I was quite good at the diving and the scoring."

"I enjoyed swimming the best, also I learnt to play music with Bongo Clive.Designing my T-shirt was fun. I enjoyed Tenby beach the most, I made footsteps in the sand and wrote my name."

"It was a fantastic time. I went to the beach, walked and had a picnic. I wrote my name on the sand. I went to Bongo Clive and I played xylophone, Egyptian drums, bongo and Congo drums. It was fun and I hope to go again."
