Weird Nation

Chris Evans from Dinas Powys

Whilst driving back to Cardiff from the Brecon Beacons along the A470 I saw a strange light in the sky approximately 4 or 5 miles away in front of a dark patch of cloud.

The time was about 4.30pm and just getting dark, although the sky was still light.

The light was very bright and moved upwards slowly as if it was floating. It then hesitated for a second and moved upwards to some thin grey cloud above it.

I thought I would be able to see the bright light through the cloud, or at least expected it to be visible above the cloud, but it dissapeared.

It was not the moon (too small) or an evening star. I was not drunk or under the influence or a random reflection (no vehicles passed me). I was not under the influence of anything else.

This happened on 15 December 2005...
