My Pregnancy Secret

Teen Mams - Carrie

By Carrie

When I found out I was pregnant, I was in my friend's house. She told me I had put on weight. I'd thought for a long time that I was pregnant, but had kept it to myself. She took me down to the doctor's to get a pregnancy test.

On the way back up to her house I couldn't think of anything else apart from doing the test. After I had done it, I called my friend back in to have a look. She told me it was positive.

My cousin was in the other room and she thought that we were talking about her, so I showed her the result. I phoned my boyfriend and he didn't believe me. Everyone told me to tell my mother but I couldn't.

About three months went by. It was a Thursday, the day before my boyfriend's mother was going away. My boyfriend told everyone that he was going to be a dad, but I was too scared to say anything. My boyfriend's mother went up to the shop and a woman said, "congratulations on being a grandmother". My boyfriend's mother said, "what are you on about?"

She phoned my boyfriend and asked him, "is it true?" He said, "yes". About an hour later I had a phone call at my friend's house. It was my boyfriend's mother asking me, "are you pregnant?" and saying that I had to go and tell my mother, because she was going away the next day. My friend's boyfriend took me down to my house.

I was so scared of telling my mother and father, I walked into my house and said, "Mam, I'm pregnant". She started filling up, but she was ok.

She phoned my auntie to come down. My father was up the club and my mother said she would tell him the next day. My boyfriend's mother and father came down to my house to see me and both were really upset.

My mother and my auntie took me over to the hospital to see if they could give me a scan. We went in and they put jelly stuff on my stomach and pressed down. They told me I'm having a healthy baby and it wouldn't stop moving. I am so glad that everyone is ok. My dad took it really well and they can't wait for me to have the baby.
