Finding Out I Was Pregnant

Teen Mams - Laura

By Laura

It was finally Friday, the day I had been waiting for ages because all week I had been waiting to do a pregnancy test. I hadn't come on for two months. When I got home from school I was so nervous. My mum didn't have any idea what I was about to do.

That evening me and my boyfriend went to Cardiff because we were going to the pictures. We finally arrived in Cardiff. I was so nervous by this time and my boyfriend was laughing at me. I walked into Boots, paid for my test, and went into the ladies.

As I was waiting for the result of my test, we walked around doing some shopping. After about ten minutes I reached into my bag and pulled out my pregnancy test. I couldn't believe what it said. It was positive. I was so shocked.

That evening me and my boyfriend sat down in my bedroom and talked about it. He was nagging me to tell my mum, but I couldn't. She would go mad.

After about a week, I called my mother into my bedroom and told her that I didn't want to go to school because I had a bad stomach. So my mum said to me, "you're not pregnant are you?" She knew that I hadn't been taking my pill, because it makes me sick. She had booked an appointment for the doctors for me to have the pill injection, but it was too late because I was pregnant.

I told my mum that I wanted to keep it. She said, "OK", and that she would support me. I was so happy that she didn't go mad or scream and shout. I just wish that I could have been more honest with her at first. Now I'm so glad that everyone knows and everything is out in the open. I have a lovely baby boy now.
