Teen Mams took a day out to visit the Birth and Pregnancy magazine. Becky explains what happened.
At 8.30am I was picked up by Pam. We then went to collect Mandy, Sam, Kirsty and Charlene and we travelled to Cardiff Station to catch the train to London. When we got to Cardiff we were one hour early for our train, so me and Charlene went over to Wimpy for breakfast. It was nice.
We then met Joy and the other girls in the train station café, and then we left to get the train. It took us two hours to get to London.
When we got there we had to find the place we wanted to get to. We got on another three trains, and then it took us another hour before we found where we wanted to go. We would have got there an hour earlier, but the tube door wouldn't open, and so we landed up at the next station and had to wait about half an hour before going all the way back.
When we got there, we were welcomed by the editor of the magazine who was very friendly. She took us inside where a few other people including the photographer, the model, the stylist and the fashion designer were. They were also very friendly. There was food laid out on the table for us. None off us were very hungry, so we just had a can of coke.
They then asked us if we wanted to go upstairs and watch them shoot the photos of the model, which I personally found very interesting. The photographer then showed us the photos he had taken in the morning. They were really good.
After that, we went with the editor to the studio to see how the magazine was put together. It was really interesting because we were shown how the magazine is produced. They told us how they found information like the adverts to put into the magazine. When we were leaving, we were given a bag full of things for the babies. The bag contained nappies, wet wipes, hats, mittens amd play mats.
We left at 5.30pm and our train was for 8pm, so we went for a meal. We ended up in a really nice Chinese restaurant and the food was lovely. We then had to rush to get the train back home and we just about caught it. I had a very nice day and I found it very interesting.
