What's the Fuss!

By Claire

I'm pissed off with the way that teenage mums get treated by everybody in general!

Big issues are made out of it by the newspapers. They twist words just to make a story and to make the article interesting.

The fact that you aren't able to stay on in school is wrong because we are no different to any normal person. It shouldn't make a difference just because you are pregnant.

I think that you should be able to stay in school until you are at a certain stage of pregnancy, for example, at 7 to 8 months when you start to feel a loss of energy. The baby takes all of your energy that it needs and leaves you with what it doesn't want - which in some cases could be not a lot because you are not able to eat.

The way you're walking down the street and you get funny looks and people make comments - 'you shouldn't be having a child at your age, it's a disgrace!' I just feel like turning round to them and telling them where to go. But I just walk past and ignore them.

I think that pregnant teenagers should be accepted like any normal pregnant woman.
