Castell Coch, Tongwynlais, Cardiff

Tongwynlais

This village lies tucked up in the hills overlooked by a fairytale castle. Castell Coch was built by Gilbert de Clare to protect Cardiff's approach. It fell in to a state of neglect, but was restored by Lord Bute in the 19th century.
