"The area is now called Danescourt, but it was the original Radyr, site of a Manor House, and (even earlier) probably the old oratory from which Radyr is supposed to take its name."

Jonathan, Morganstown
Researched quite a bit as living locally. The name is actually older than this in origin. It's mentioned in Ancient Welsh Tales as 'Aradyr Hen' (the old plough). A house used as an overnight resting place during a long journey by the head of the Celtic church in 5th century.

My family has lived for over a century in Radyr and while on a visit, I was shown this place! How exciting to see it here!!
