I"ve bveen to Gwaelod-y-Garth many times and I have strolled to Pentyrch many times as well over the Garth. The food there is excellent!!!

A favourite outing of mine is to have Sunday lunch at our local. It's just really lovely, with a homely atmosphere, mouthwatering roast dinners and a crucial ingredient, we can relax as a family - really important one this, as we've 5 children (age range 8mths - 11yrs) :-) Anyhow, back to the story, one Sunday we're all climbing out of the van and Keti, my six-year- old (who was learning to read at the time) spent some time looking up at the side wall of the pub - finally she said "we're going to eat in "the Kings Arse" ... Technically, she was right - the 'M' had fallen off the "ARMS" sign! Since then, the sign has been fixed - but we've all adopted Keti's version!
