Teddy

(Need help with RealPlayer?)

Teddy used to be a handsome bear, young, full of life.

I was young, innocent and really devoted to my bear, but the sad truth is, I've almost loved him to death!

Years of cuddling have reduced poor teddy to a frightening head, set on a mass of stuffing entrails.

There are no more adventures for teddy. Incapacitated, he just can't join in.

His comforting smell which had lasted despite mum's threats of the washing machine, is now reduced to a dusty thug.

Poor Teddy, his fur worn away, now lives in a shoebox, dark and lonely, under my bed.

Stories from the Streets of Cardiff - this film was made as part of a Digital Storytelling workshop run by BBC Wales.
