Notepad

(Need help with RealPlayer?)

This is the tale of a notepad. I suppose it's also the tale of some vodka and some people, but we must get our priorities right here!

After all, it was the notepad, not I, who first spoke to our neighbours.

True I had gotten drunk and scrawled a greeting on its sheets, but was I the one sellotaped to the window in the hope of being seen? No.

And did I undergo similar humiliation all the following week as the neighbours and I arranged to meet for a five minute cup of tea. No, not I.

So, priorities, I should give the notepad its due for services rendered etc.

Without it I might never have met my neighbours properly, I might not have formed a good friendship and I could hardly say I'd fully settled into Roath.

Notepad I salute you!

I was in school with you in Carmarthen, Cassidy, many moons ago, and like you, I too have enjoyed vodka with friends. But I feel that it was the vodka that helped me settle into Roath more than the notepad ... so vodka, I salute you.
