Thanks to everyone who came to our Bereavement Awareness Coffee Morning at the BBC Wales Open Centre on May 15.
It was held to coincide with a BBC campaign highlighting bereavement and specifically widowhood which affects 200,000 women a year.
Mike Coombes, the founder of Newport based charity Hold out a Hand and local chairman of Cruse Bereavement Care was on hand to outline the resources and support available locally.
Cruse has up to 50 counsellors offering help through Gwent, while Hold out a Hand is a fund-raising charity supporting the service through various initiatives including a shop in Maindee.
