A major multimedia exhibition exploring the history, loss and regeneration of Newport has been created by students, lecturers and graduates of the University of Wales, Newport.

The artists based their work on the decline of the steel industry, focussing on the derelict (and now demolished) Whiteheads steel plant in central Newport which once employed thousands of people.

The exhibition is on show at the Riverfront Arts Centre in Newport from 6 September until 17 October 2008.
