Itwas great to find Kenfig Hill on the net and read about the Luggs and the Clatworthy families and the rest of my old neighbours in good old Pwll y Garth Street including Noreen Waiteew in NZ. They were great times.

Noreen Campbell Paraparaumu, Wellington, New Zeala
I have loved this website I have read many comments and regonise many names from my early years growing up in Kenfig Hill. Keep the good work up, I look at the website on a regular basis. I lived and was born in Pwllygath Street before coming to NZ in 1957.

Maureen Davies (nee Hayward), Perth, Australia
I was born and bred in Kenfig Hill with fond memories which I will always cherish - great schools, Jack conner shop, Thomas the Stepts shop, going to the woods picking cows slips, trips to Pink Bay, street parties and the Ton (every Easter there would be motorbike scrambling).

Taryn John from Cornelly (ex pupil)
I like the site - it's very interesting. I wish that everyone could actually see how important nature is and how history should be shown, not hidden, and how it can be achieved by just walking. Brilliant!

Megan Davies from Kenfig Hill
Fab website, very interesting.

John Cornelius, North Cornelly
Interesting web site and very well done. I am researching the death of a 12 year old girl who was burnt to death whilst working at the Kenfig iron works. Her death was one of the first that was required to be registered, so I was informed. Unable to trace at present. Can you advise where I might learn more about the Kenfig Iron works. I always read the comments left by the school children who visit Kenfig Nature reserve, some are very observant.

Kirsty from Kenfig Hill
I think the website is excellent and think everybody who made it put a tremendous effort into it! I hope everybody who is anybody enjoyed it as much as I did!!

Sue Roberts – Cynffig Comprehensive School
Excellent website Year 9! The hard work has really paid off. The photographs you took are great. Well done! Hopefully this research has given you a greater understanding of our class work on the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution, and of your own local area. It should also generate interest among others in and around Kenfig. I wonder how many might try out the route?

Laura Hilton - Groundwork Bridgend and NPT
I helped Ben, Matt, Tim, Megan, Sarah and Kirsty to plan and research a walk examining the impact of industry on their local area as a lead up to a class project with me on Tondu Ironworks. I am very impressed with the amount of effort the six volunteers put into this project. They have worked enthusiastically to create a brilliant walk which really shows the development and decline of heavy industry around their homes as well as the subsequent regeneration of the area. Well done everybody!
