The Brentwood Hotel is the home of the Porthcawl Elvis Festival and is a wonderful place to visit - www.thebrentwoodhotel.co.uk

The Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl. Staying in the suite with a four-poster bed...overlooking the sea. Keeping the windows open and listening to the crashing waves. Walking along the promenade and sitting with the locals, just enjoying the beauty of it all.

I held my wedding reception in the Ty Newydd hotel in Penderyn. That was absoluetly fabulous, the staff were friendly and the service was great. I would recommend it thoroughly as they took care of everything.

We stayed at The Celtic Manor Resort - what an asset for Wales. Truly a five star resort with a fabulous spa (for me!) and golf courses for my husband. The staff were so friendly and Owens restaurant really is fine dining - I just didn't have room for the Petit fours!

St Davids is good if a little bare and the bay looks more like a building site at the moment. They do do possibly the best club sandwich I have ever tasted. The Vale Country Club is a great retreat away from the hustle of Cardiff - the restaurant is one of the best I've been to!
Kim Evans in Columbus, Ohio
The Hilton Hotel in Cardiff - not only is it beautiful, but I love the location. Cardiff, what an exciting city!
Paul from New York
The Celtic Manor Resort - I enjoyed my visit that bit more for having stayed there. Newport is such a friendly place as well. I felt welcome everywhere I went. I will definitely be returning.

The Big Sleep in Cardiff city centre has been listed as one of the best budget hotels in the world. And I can believe it. It is not luxurious but it is comfortable, and at good rate too. The best has to be the top floor where the wall length windows give superb views of Cardiff and the Bay.

The Beverley on Cathedral Road, Cardiff - the atmosphere is very home like...and the staff accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the price is right! Excellent breakfast and pub food. A short walk through the park past Cardiff Castle into the centre of the city. In my opinion the best!
Huw Thomas from Cardiff
The St David's Hotel in Cardiff Bay - one of the best hotels in Britain for its sheer luxury and magnificent views over the Bay. Top quality food and superb ambience in the restaurant combine for a most magical and memorable stay. Highly recommended, especially if someone's in need of a treat.

The Allt-yr-ynys Hotel, Walterstone near Abergavenny, is an absolute must for anyone that enjoys magnificent surroundings, quality food and first rate hospitality. I found it by chance and keep going back for more.
Bob Little from St Albans
The Hilton Hotel in Cardiff - on the seventh floor there is an executive lounge where visitors can see a broad sweep of Cardiff - encompassing its bustle and grandeur - from the shops and arcades of St Mary Street, to the grand parks and gardens around the castle and on to the civic buildings and National Museum.
Breakfast in the glass-fronted restaurant on the ground floor not only emphasises the generous hopitality of the Welsh, but also helps to emphasise the busy-ness of an ambitious and cosmopolitan city.
Graham Cooksey from Cardiff
The Bear Hotel in Crickhowell - the food and beer is excellent and the staff are friendly.
Alun Morgan in Harrow
The Bear Hotel in Crickhowell - excellent food and a warm welcome. Ten out of ten.
Ian from the Vale
The Gliffaes is not the smartest in Wales but it has a cosy lived in feel, like your favourite leather armchair.
Jackie Jones from Porth
The Porth Hotel caters for everyone from veggies and kids to people with no teeth.
Jonathan Acton from Newport
The Celtic Manor has to be the best in the South East. The sheer scale of the place has to be seen to be believed.
