I once lived in Cardiff and have many happy memories of going conker picking and even 'mitching off' at Insole Court, in Llandaff. It has beautiful although small gardens and my favourite visit was when I bumped into two elderly ladies who remembered actually growing up there. Their ancestor, maybe father, was the coal merchant that built the house. They told me about the garden parties on the front lawn overlooked by the two stone lions, and even described their mother's dress and hat. Made my visit there so memorable. I visited recently to reminisce only to find a stone lion missing and the terrace smashed up. My hope is that those lovely ladies never have to see the damage done to their former home and gardens.

I love Duffryn Gardens and I am glad to see money is being spent on them after sometime of neglect. The gardens are special to me because after visiting there one summer I realised how wonderful my wife is.

Doug from Grangetown
I have had my allotment for 45 years now and I walk down to the allotment every day with my dog Peg. I started growing gooseberries then tomatoes and onto bigger veg like turnips for my wife Gwendaline. I enjoy it because I like the smell of earth during winter time.

I recently attended a multicultural evening held in the grounds of Abertillery Comprehensive School and I was amazed that there was an amazing garden hidden amongst this old mining town. The comprehensive school should be very proud of this and all their gardens.
