Me Penarth
I love going to Cardiff to shop!!!

Sheikha from Cardiff
For a great day out I prefer to visit Cosmeston Lake with huge bread packets to feed the swans all day. You can't tell where the time runs away!!

Kathy from Newport (originally from Caerphilly)
My favourite day out is blackwood, the shops and market spoilt for choice, it's a busy jostling place and I love it.

Anthony Davies in Australia
I have to agree with Helen Snedden as I lived in Usk before leaving for Australia in 1982. There is no better place in the UK than the Usk valley, the Usk pubs and the Usk river. A big plus is the history, which goes back over a thousand years. I long to be back there - it will happen.

Helen Sneddon from Aldershot
I am biased as I lived in Wales for 22 years, but I must mention the beautiful Vale of Usk and the town of Usk. Truly God's country!

Phil Morris
Can't beat St Fagans Museum of Welsh Life. And it's free admission.

Rob Johnson from Llanishen
I love to stroll hand in hand with a lucky lady along the banks of Roath Park Lake. Being a pro golfer, I enjoy the outdoor life and there is no better sight than this - the ducks are quacking and the girl's hair flowing. More romantic than watching Top Gun JUST!

Craig Smith from London
Finally rebuilt after demolition during the Second World War, Pontypool's Folly Tower offers commanding views over the local area. On a good day views include the English coastline and Severn Estuary, Newport and north towards the Black Mountains and south the majestic Mynydd Maen rises over the area. Well worth a visit. And just down the country lane is the Grotto - an amazing shell encrusted lodge. Both are open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays between 24th May and the 14th of September 2.00pm. to 5.00pm. Admission Free
