If I was AM for the day I'd sort out the walk of death. It's hazardous, it's dangerous, and it needs changing rapidly for the next generation.
The path is full of hazards, including mud to slip on, broken patio steps, broken fences, and litter.

This is a long stretch of path between Cowbridge sixth form site and Cowbridge middle school site.
When you're in sixth form, you have lessons in both sites, so you have to travel along this long path five or six times a day.
This path is full of hazards, including mud to slip on, broken patio steps, broken fences, gateways, and litter.
It's a long way to walk, especially in the rain, wind, snow, hail. Whatever the weather throws at us, we've got to walk along it.
There have been plans made by the Vale of Glamorgan, and it's all been confirmed, and the money's been granted, but it's been set back due to other projects taking priority.
They've decided to put Llantwit and St Cyres in before us. I think this project needs more priority than those, as the others have better facilities than we do.
I feel quite envious and jealous of the opportunities they get and what we don't get.

We're making some changes to the sites shortly and although this form will be closing, you will have other opportunities to contribute on our new-look site.

Yeah, having been to that school and moving to the US two years ago, I understand how much Cowbridge Comp needs improvements. It's ridiculous.

The walk of death as you call it is in good condition compared to what it used to be. I left in 2004 as a sixth former - it used to have pot holes on the main part of the walkway. The only reason it was re-surfaced a few years ago was because the head teacher at the time fell over. But it was not deemed to be dangerous if a pupil fell over.

Has anyone ever actually measured the length of the "walk of death"? I would estimate it to be about a quarter of a mile. While we walk it so often we have got used to it, on paper it seems a ridiculous distance to expect us to walk that far multiple times in the day. What is even worse is that the sixth form buildings are where all music and drama classes are held, so it is not just sixth formers who have to make the daily trek. On the plus side, at least we do get a bit of exercise...

Wow, that is a long way. Being a 'disabled' student, I get really out of breath walking so far, especially out side. From your photos I probably wouldn't be able to make that journey, or turn up really late for lessons. I'd probably end up doing them with an SNA on my own. Therefore, I wouldn't be in the actual clas...

Why? Why do the students have to walk back and for to get to their lessons? It is just unfair.
