If I were an AM for the day, I'd revamp Barry Island.

It's completely empty most days. There's not much stuff for people my age, there's dog poo everywhere where they haven't put bins out, so people just leave it there.

I'd change the theme park. I'd completely get rid of it and re-do it over from scratch, so it's more appealing for all ages.

There's a lot of rubbish on the beach, it's not very pleasant. The sea isn't that appealing - it's quite brown and looks very groggy.

The arcades are getting quite old. Even though people do like the one penny machines, it's nice to have some new arcades, or play pool or play snooker.

There's a lot of broken walls and road works, which just makes the place look really unattractive.

There's maps which are years old. They haven't really updated them. I live down on the waterfront and it's not actually showing up, it's just a blank space.

There's broken down buildings, where they've just boarded them up and left them there to rot and tear away.

The theme park hasn't been open for a good few years. I don't think anyone knows what's going on.

I'd improve the arcades so you can get more money, and put it more in to the island itself to fix the broken tiles or the buildings that are basically getting worn down from misuse.

After these many years that's it's been there, why should it be got rid of now? Why not just keep it for as long as we can?

This would mean that people are going out and not staying in their houses. They're actually going out to the beach, having a good time and not sitting in watching TV, and eating junk food all day.
