If I was an AM for the day I'd clean up Barry cinema and the area surrounding it.

It's not fair that people in Barry have to travel to Cardiff to watch a film.

Danielle

It's completely empty most days. There's not much stuff for people my age, there's dog poo everywhere where they haven't put bins out, so people just leave it there.

The letters are falling off, there's graffiti on the building, the area surrounding it is not very safe in the nights. There's a club right next to it, and the road is busy and not very safe. Loads of trouble happens there.

There's a lane next to it that's really unsafe cos loads of things have happened down there. The seating is ripped, and smelly. The staff aren't very friendly.

I don't go there any more. I used to when I was younger. I travel to Cardiff now to the cinema.

I would tidy up the seating, hire friendlier staff, put some CCTV cameras around the building.

I think Barry needs a cinema because it's not fair that people in Barry have to travel to Cardiff to watch a film, when there's one down the road that could be used.

I think these short films are great, they make you stop and think and take a look around you at the state of disrepair that Barry is actually in. I hope this raises awareness and hopefully something can be done about these issues. Well done to all involved with this project and the photos are fab!
