It dominates the skyline on the Maes but did you know it was designed in Italy? Read on for more facts about the pavilion and add your own.

The guy ropes extend 10m away from the tent edge.A dutch company called De Boer with offices in the UK, Holland and Belgium own the pavilion. Apparently they are the only company in Europe to hire out pavilions of this size. The last time this pavilion was used in the UK was for the MTV awards in Edinburgh. This is the second year that the Eisteddfod are hiring the structure. Previous years have used a smaller pavilion. The structure takes three days to erect and two weeks to fit. It is taken down three days after the Eisteddfod.Twenty men are involved in hoisting up the pavilion. The 'legs' are made of steel and the 'skin' is made of double thickness PVC.The pavilion was designed in Italy. The legs were manufactured in Germany whilst the skin was made in France.
