Fans in Wales are being offered the chance to see the first episode of the brand new third series of the hit drama before the rest of the UK.

The new series begins on BBC One Wales on Saturday 31 March.

To herald its return, BBC Wales has arranged that the first episode of the new series will be exclusively screened in venues across the nation.

The screenings will be taking place on Saturday, March 31 at 10.30am at the following venues:

  • Cardiff Bay Odeon
  • Swansea Odeon
  • Wrexham Odeon
  • Aberystwyth Arts Centre
  • Pwllheli Neuadd Dwyfor

Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis from 9am on Monday 26 March by calling 08703 667 887* - do not call before this time.

If you don't manage to get their hands on one of these exclusive tickets then BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru will be giving listeners the chance to win one of the sought after tickets when a small number will be released as competition prizes.

The ticket give-away will start on Tuesday 27 March so tune in for the opportunity to be part of this amazing event.

To make the event more fun, why not dress up as your favourite Doctor Who character.

If you see the preview at the Odeon in Cardiff Bay, visit the Doctor Who Up Close exhibition next door to the cinema.

*Calls from a BT line cost up to 8p per minute. Charges by other operators and mobiles vary and calls may be recorded for training.
