I Was An Alien!

Ten year old Jack Thomas with Doctor Who actor Christopher Eccleston

Last updated: 06 March 2006

Jack Thomas rubbed shoulders with the stars while filming for an episode of Doctor Who.

Jack, who comes from Baglan, Port Talbot, is a pupil at the Mark Jermin Stage School.

He was delighted by the chance to appear as an alien in episode two of the 2005 series.

"Filming Doctor Who was a great experience for me because I met loads of actors and actresses with a lot of experience. I also had great fun meeting Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper.

"I had to get up at 6.30 every morning and was picked up at 7.30. Sometimes we had to wait ages for the other actors to turn up and had breakfast while we waited.

"The best part was filming with the people dressed up as the aliens as they had great costumes.

"I had to wear a black suit and helmet and all my skin was painted blue as you can see in the photo."
