Community Reporters

Community reporter

Last updated: 07 June 2007

Calling all budding journalists - community magazine The Window is looking for reporters from around Pontypool and North Torfaen.

Published by the Torfaen Resource and Activity Centre (TRAC), The Window covers Sebastopol, Varteg, Penygarn, New Inn, Waunddu, Brynwern, Abersychan, Pontnewynydd, Cwmavon, St Cadocs, Blaenavon, Talywain, Cwmynyscoy and other areas.

News, features, photos, views, letters, what's on, etc - anything legal and decent that's about your area will be considered for publication.

As well as giving communities another outlet for news and information, the magazine is also designed to give those looking to make a career in journalism a chance to develop their skills and gain some experience.

Editor Darren Powis, who has worked on The Free Press and other newspapers, will provide help and guidance to contributors.

For further information, contact Darren on 01495 755432 or email tracoffice@yahoo.co.uk
