Many a happy day was spent in the skiffs on the lake, being called on the loud hailer 'Come in number...' when your hour was up. My parents rented one of the cubicles for a few summers. There was always a great demand for them, and they were fitted out with everything required for a 'day away'. The swimming baths would occasionally be so popular, the entrants were limited. The Bindles Ballroom is on the high ground."
