Maggie Dog Films was set up in 2002 by Lee and Tuesday, who are based in Newport.
They met at university when Lee was studying BA Hons Film and Video and Tuesday was studying BA Hons Media and Visual Culture.
Before graduating they had already decided to set up their own production company and name it after Lee's brother's dog Maggie.
After graduating they were help by a grant and several business consultants to set up the business.
Within six months they had won a Gwent Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
What makes Maggie Dog Films a little different from most production companies is that both Lee and Tuesday have disabilities. All of their films up until Beanz Meanz War have been about disability in some way or have disabled people in them.
This is because they believe that there is not enough people with disabilities in film and television and they feel it is important that such people get involved in the media on every level.
They hope that their work can help dispel some of the negative views surrounding disability.
As well as making short films that have been shown at festivals in America, Canada and here in Wales, Lee and Tuesday have been to North America to present workshops on the inclusion of disability in film and television.
One of these was done at Picture This, Canada's first disability film festival and the second was at the University of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Back home they have also done a workshop for BBC Wales and worked as disability consultants giving advice on a disabled character and extras on the drama series First Degree.
