Renaissance

Kelvin Harrison

Kelvin Harrison

Listen to Kelvin(Need help?)

I was born in Mountain Ash. I started working in Aberdare in 1970 and moved here in 1979.

It's more of a town, a market town from the 1800s. The church is from the eleventh century - it was one of the first churches built around here.

All South Wales is finding a renaissance in people coming over, especially from Bristol. They come to Cardiff, and the knock on effect with houses and prices - it's obviously better that people are coming in to bring work, jobs and a bit of business.

I think Aberdare is a great place to be. The people are friendly - you always get a good welcome. I don't want to do the tourist job for them, but all in all it's an ok town.
