Listen to Barbara and Dr Mahmud(Need help?)
Barbara Mahmud
I'm Doctor Mahmud's wife. We've been married now for forty years.
I got involved in Creature Comforts quite by accident. The GPs were doing some role playing. An actor came to check their consultation skills. He was sitting in the waiting room listening to our receptionist Monica and myself talking.
He came up to us and said "I've been sitting there listening to you, and you seem so at ease talking. Would you like to be interviewed for Creature Comforts?" We said "OK, it's a laugh. Let's go ahead with it." That's how it came about.

In the first series it was only my wife and my receptionist involved and they were playing two seagulls.
When he came the second time to make the second series, he asked me if I would like to play a role as well. I said as long as you don't give my voice to a pig, I'll do it.
It turned out that they introduced a third seagull, a male seagull to the series. That's what we do - we play the seagulls' voices and it's nice. We enjoy it.
