The bridge stand 75 metres above the River Usk and has a span of 210 metres. It provides a crossing at all stages of the tide using a 'gondola' suspended from a high level travelling frame. This view is taken from the top of the bridge where the suspension frame is located. The bridge was refurbished in 1995, and continues to operate every day - ferrying up to six cars at any one time, as well as pedestrians and cyclists.
