    Built in 1897, this impressive red-bricked structure was designed by William Frame, whose mentor, William Burgess, was the architect another of the third Marquis of Bute's grand buildings - Castell Coch. Originally built to house the Bute Dock Company, it became the administrative office for the port of Cardiff in 1947. It now houses a permanent exhibtion giving the public an insight into the workings of the National Assembly for Wales.
