    Cardiff's second five star hotel officially opened on 1 August 1999. The Hilton Hotel is a fine example of a 1930s office block. Capital Tower which can be seen beside the Hilton stands on the old Greyfriars site where the ruins of Greyfriars Mansion were once visible.
