Carola Haze from Duisburg, Germany
You are simply the best! Thank you for the music!
Judy Croucher, The Plains, Ohio USA
Cannot understand why he wasn't bigger in the US. Can't believe his record companies ever tried to promote him that much here. Never heard of him till I saw him on Youtube. Now I listen to him everyday on Youtube, have bought some of his CDs for my car, and feature him on my Facebook and Myspace pages. Love his songs - feel like the US was ripped off by missing his great talent.
Goca from Belgrade, Serbia
No one is a bigger fan of Shakin Stevens than me! During the 80s I also listened to Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Wham ... but he always had a special place in my heart and my big LP collection. I would really love to see him live in Belgrade and I hope that it will happen one day. He never had a concert here - well it is time! I love him so much!!! I am more than happy that he still performs and is still great looking! Greetings from Belgrade!
Eamon in Cloghan, Co Offaly, Ireland
Hi Shaky - Now Listen has great songs. I just love the way you sing - it's a shame why we don't hear you on the radio with this album. It's not right - keep rocking Shaky, the 80s are back.
David Williams, Memphis, Tennessee, USA
I love Shaky's music. I live where it all started, Memphis, Tennessee. Been here all my life, was here when Elvis was so young and hot. Shaky had all the moves of Elvis, maybe better. They wouldn't let Elvis in the 50's do the things they do today. Keep on shaking, Shaky, we love it.
Jonni Lim from Medan, Indonesia
Love you always Shaky. No matter what, you still the best...
Raymond from London
Hi Shaky, to me you're still the best alive rock & roller in our planet. I wish you to record further songs, as it's been time from 1972-1980-1990-2000 and so on, good luck Shaky!
Faye from Sevenoaks
I have always been a great fan of Shaky, my first record when I was 6 in 1980 was This Ole House, I've got all the 45's and 33's. All my friends were into Duran Duran, Wham etc my bedroom was covered in every single poster I could get my hands on of Shaky, especially from the "Look-In" magazine, I still love his music now and have never seen him live, one day maybe ;) Keep rockin' Shaky luv ya xxxx

I have loved Shaky since 1980 aged 11. When all my friends were into Duran Duran, Prince, Michael Jackson etc I was totally into Shaky. All my bedroom walls were decked out with Shaky Posters and any pics of him from Blue Jeans, Jackie, My Guy etc I could get my hands on. He is still hot and man can he move his legs like no other! Please Shaky, bring out new material, "Now Listen" CD was brilliant. You will always be the best to me and quite literally "You Drive Me Crazy"!xxxx

Wow, what can I say that could compliment Shaky more than what we Shaky fans know he can deliver. I have followed Shaky since 1980 - seen him everywhere. He has now got the recognition he should have as a music artist. I am now the big five-0 and he makes me feel like 18 again. What more can you ask? Shaky, just do your thing x
Dev Jenson of Shropshire & Nottingham
Hello Mike,( SHAKY), It's been a long time man. Last time we spoke was in 1988 @ Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall, other than coming to your house and speaking to your son Jason. He's a real nice guy. Think it's time you put the white boots back on and your denims and took the world by its throat and shook it up just like the good ole days? huh . We all miss that denim fireball ..just a thought mike. God Bless you were my guide and friend as a child, when I had no-one. For that I'm grateful.Just have a think, I know you're older now, but watching you on TV now you still have it, Don't quit we need our 'Shaky' back.

I have been a fan since the age of 13. I'm now 40 and Shaky is a permanent part of my life! I have seen him over 300 times in concert and loved every single one. He still rocks at 60!! The new album "Now Listen" is fantastic and can't wait to see him at Lulworth Castle this July 4th, 2008!!
Steve Jones
Howdy Mike its steve from Fish Mongers Arms from Brick Lane. Still buying your music. Keep rocking kid.
Brian Edwards, Bridgend
I am pleased to say I worked with Shakey in the 60s. Alas not in entertainment but in a furnisher factory in Bridgend. There were three of us with old fashoned drapes. I thought I could sing, which i did all day, I recall it must have been a noise. Shakey was invited to sing in the firms xmas do, he was outstanding. I decided to be a little quieter in work. I managed to find him a few gigs in the Pencoed area, the rest is history. you can not keep a good man down. His fee then was £15.10. I knew he would last. Congrats.
Simone Waddon -Caerphilly
I have seen him in his haydays in the New Theatre in cardiff ...everybody was rocking in the aisles...my friends at the time were rockabillys from Caerphilly in the 80s it was good fun. it was great time.
Joerg Zaenker
Happy Birthday to you Shaky, all the best for your 60th birthday. Best wishes from Germany.
Tony Baum - Leicester

Chris Graham, Cardiff
I think Shaky is the closest performer to Elvis I've ever seen. Loved his music.
Sue Vickers, Chesterfield, Derbyshire
What a legend, this man has every thing!! looks, the voice wow what a singer, he will be remembered by millions. Last saw him on Jasper Carrott's Christmas show, he was brilliant. I will always be a fan of Shaky's, and hope that he will be on tour again soon. Can't wait.
Clinton Horton from Hengoed
Shaky - I'm a die hard fan of yourself and I love your music as it's uplifting. It makes me feel good when I put on your CD & DVD's - I'm that mad on you I paid £100 for the original CD of your album "This Ole House". You are my childhood and my life hero - hope to see all your original albums fully remastered and re-released on CD. K know that all us fans would love that. Maybe a live DVD or CD becoming available? That would be great as well - please come to Cardiff again. Thanks, your biggest fan, Clinton.
Martin from Essex
My wife Julie has always loved Shaky. Does anyone know how I can book him for an appearance at her birthday in June 2008? Many thanks!
'StingDrift ' from the Netherlands
What can I say about Shaky that hasn't been already said?Except that he was my personal 'Dreamlover' in youth. (I do have the original song in my favorites by Bobby Darin, I love this music genre since 17). And in a more mature way, he still is now. He came into my life, when I was a teen about 11, almost 12 years young, in my most troubled times. He came back to me more then 26 years later, again, in hard times. I do not believe in coincedence. It must have been a touch from Above. God's got taste, haha! No, really. I like everything about this guy, his looks, his genuine voice, his raw energetic typical Pisces personality (I am a Pisces myself, I should know) putting his heart and soul in wanting to make effort to his fandom. I said it before and I say it again. Even Elvis himself would have been proud on this great man, because of who and what he is. A good looking, nice, no-nonsense guy, brilliant performer. That is something born within, impossible to imitate. Thanks Shaky, for being who you are. Hope to see you around for a long time to come. Love ya..xxx
Michelle from Taunton
First saw Shaky at the age of 8, now i am 33, still as amazing as ever, we need another concert in the west country asap, what a fantastic album, Now Listen, the best one yet and may there be many more!

I saw your perform in Cracow. It was only on TV cos I could not be there personally. You were with me through many years of my life. Your voice makes so many emotions inside of me, what can I do Shakin? I will always miss you.

Everything he sings turns into magic. I have just seen him in Bucharest. A true artist and a magnetic, wonderful presence, whom I would love to see and listen to not only "now", but every single day. In fact, I really do that!

Tony Baum from Leicester
I've been a fan of Shaky since I was 16. I nearly completed getting all his records - singles and LPs. I hope to get his new stuff when he records again. I would like to get hold of all DVDs of Oh Boy and Let's Rock if anybody knows where to get hold of them.
Kirsten Pearson, Longview, WA USA
I've been a fan of Shaky since 1984, and although I haven't had the pleasure of seeing him perform live, I did get to meet him in '86 at his fan club. What a lovely and charming man he was, chatting with me and making me feel right at ease, even though my heart was completely in my throat! I was pregnant with my first child at the time and I'd love to go back to the UK someday and take my kids to meet him. He and my son would have much to discuss, as he is a musician (guitarist) as well. I know there will always be a special place in my heart for Shakin' Stevens. His music was the soundtrack for some of the most wonderful times of my life!
Tizzie Becchiumi
I have loved Shakin' Stevens since I first saw his video clip This Ole House. I have a lot of his albums, cds and recently the new DVD the Collection which is just fantastic. His new CD Now Listen is also fantastic both music and lyrics. Shaky has certainly got the knack for writing songs. Shaky you will always be NUMBER 1 with me. There is not one song that I have heard you sing that I don't like. I wish you would tour Australia, Melbourne in particular, I'm sure all your Aussie fans would love to see you. Hope I get to meet you one day, but until then take care, love you always, Tizzie! xx
Dawn Thacker from Plymouth
I have loved Shakin Stevens for ever, ever since I was old enough and I am now nearly 33 years old. He's still very good looking and my daughter loves him too and she's only just coming up to seven. Shaky, you are the best and always will be - keep it up, love you always. No one will ever beat you not in my life time.
Lian, Hampshire

Mick from Holbech, Lincs
Don't stop - keep rockin, kid.
Martin from Manchester
Shaky has proven once again that class is permanent. His new album rates as one of his best and warrants being heard by a much wider audience, such a shame that radio station prejudices will prevent this from happening. Been a fan since 1981 and still listen to Shaky songs on a daily basis, thanks for everything, keep on rockin'.
James Sheahan from Ireland.
I love you Shaky. Been a fan since 1981, am now 40, have all your records. Your new single is brilliant - keep it up.
Anthony Turrell, Shoreham-by-sea, W Sussex
I love Shakin' Stevens but Elvis will never die - keep rockin' Shaky.
DP Sebastien from Belgium
Great Music! Great man! Shaky, I feel 20 years younger now! Thanks.
Janette Navan
I've been a Shaky fan since Oh Boy was shown on TV in the late 1970s. He is just as good in concert now as he was back in 1981. The "Now Listen" album is great, go online & buy it, get Shaky back in the charts.
Wayne Darbs, Devon
I've seen Shaky perform twice, first in Torquay and then in Plymouth and both concerts were great. Keep up the good work, Shaky.
Marion from Atherton, Manchester
Been crazy on Shaky since 1981 - I think he's the best since slice bread. Can't wait for his mega comeback to show others how it's done.
JG, Ireland
Great new song "Now Listen" - probably best he's ever done.Fab to have you back.
Ulrika Maltesson, Karlstad, Sweden
Oh, I wish Shaky would visit Sweden. I´ve loved him for 23 years now and I've never seen him live yet!! Please give me a chance soon.
Sylwia Palcat from Ilowa in Poland
I cant write English too well I'm afraid but I want you to know that you have a special place in my heart. Stay with me for ever because your music makes my life better.
Johan van Steenkiste from Belgium
I was 17 when I heard and saw This Ole House and I was caught. Now I'm 44 and so happy like in the '80s that he's back. He's already 59 but is still Shaky in his look and voice. I booked to see a concert in Oxford in 2006 but couldn't go. I hope once in my life I will get to meet him. This would be a wish come true from when I was 17!
Michael Watkinson, Manchester
Well Shaky you have done it again. You're the best - I've seen you 3 times now - 86, 87 and then in 06. I've been a true fan since you started. You the king - I've got every song you have ever done. But I was wondering if you will ever do a DVD concert. I'd be the first to buy it. Well as you can see we love you. Keep it up, looking forward to the new CD album.
Sylwia from Ilowa in Poland
When I was twelve I loved your songs - now I'm thirty five and I love them much more. You are the best for me and I'm really sorry that I will never meet you. Many people in Poland love you, Shaky.

Di Lear, Bexhill-on-sea
I've been a Shaky fan since the 80s and love him so much. Way to go Shaky, you're the best.
Jan from Stevenage
Shaky, what a sensation you are. I have been an avid fan for 26 years - saw you at Bristol in 2006, absolutely stunning performance. Have not had the chance to meet you in person but there is still time. I admire you for what you have achieved but most of all being a rock'n'roller in the 80s. Did not change your style when 95% of artists changed with the time but you just kept right on doing your thing. Best wishes to you and your team.
Steven Pye, Farnborough
I went to see Shaky at the Lyric Theatre in London and oh boy what a show - I loved it. I was in the third row back right in line of his microphone - it's the closest I have ever got to Shaky. I have been a fan for 25 years and I'm now thirty years old and I love his music more now than I ever have. I'll always be a Shaky fan - looking forward to the new album. Keep shakin Shaky - as you can see from all the messages we all love you and always will.
Kath Bevan, Newport
I was a fan of Shaky when I was younger - my dad gave me a signed photograph of Shaky. I was wondering if Shaky has any old photographs of him and my dad Sunglasses Ron Staples when he was on the rock'n'roll scene in London.
Steve Bird from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
He's a brilliant singer and dancer.
Leon Kamatam, India
Shakin' is mind blowing - whenever I play his CD my body starts swinging. There is magic in his voice - God bless you.
Maree from New Zealand
I have been a fan of Shaky since his concert at the Christchurch Townhall in New Zealand in 1982. I even had a handshake from him and swore I would never wash my hand again. Luv you Shaky - I just purchased your CD/DVD hit collection and play it all the time and can't wait for your new album to come here. Please come back to NZ again. And to my eyes you're still good looking.
Michael O'Neill, Birmingham
What school did you attend Shaky? I believe you knew my sister Christine. I originate from Ely myself and went to St Francis and Mostyn.
Sarah West - Esher, Surrey

Shaky, you're the best, ever! Have never seen anyone like you, you're just unique. Saw you live for the first time this November, and I will never forget that night. Love you so much, always will. I know I'll never, or ever, grow tired of you!
Debbie, Coventry
Went to see Shaky in Birmingham Nov 2006. He was fantastic as always. My 2 and a half year old daughter knows all the words to Merry Christmas Everyone and keeps asking me to put his DVD on - not that I have brainwashed her!! Have loved him since I first heard Hot Dog and will love him forever x
Diane Geary, Toronto, Canada
Been a Shaky fan since the 80s. He has the BEST Backing band still and still sounds better than the new music of today! Shaky is also singing "Merry Christmas Everyone" on a TV Commercial here for Mastercard. It is sooo good to hear him as he is unknown over here. Originating from England I have kept up with all his music and love it.
Charlotte Field, Driffield, East Yorkshire
I think Shakin' Stevens is so fit and so good looking and a really good singer.
Rockinhepcat
Shaky was excellent in the early days with the Sunsets, their live apperances were wild! He was also very good in Elvis on Stage & the Oh Boy TV shows. His first few singles were great, but sadly Shaky got caught up in the pop world and went sour. Good to see him back though!
Kirsten Pearson, Washington USA
I've been a Shaky fan since '83 and even travelled to London in '86 to try and meet him. I was 2 months pregnant with my first child at the time and his fan club president arranged for me to meet him at the fan club. He was completely sweet and charming and when I told him I was expecting he was very happy for me. We talked about if I wanted a boy or girl and if I'd picked out names. I'd love to see him again and can't wait for his new CD. Long Live Rock & Roll, and Long Live Shaky!
Sue Rose, Sidcup, Kent
Just saw Shaky at the Lyric theatre.T he songs from his new album Now Listen were fantastic. The whole concert was just great and Shaky looked fantastic like he always does. Roll on 2007 so I can buy the album. Shaky you are the best - no one comes near. Love you Shaky.
Timothy Fowler and Jeffrey Figueira from Cardiff
Shaky is absolute magic. We're off to see him in Bristol on the 18th November 2006 and can't wait! Long live the king of Hit Me Baby One More Time!
Dominik Zimmermann from Basel, Switzerland
I just came back from Birmingham where I saw Shakin Stevens live on stage! He is my Idol since almost 30 years and he is still the best. The new songs are brilliant and the old Hits with more drive than ever. It's just a new dimension and a new capitel in the book of a great career. Hope Shaky will stay forever. He accompained me through 3/4 of my entire life, even through bad times like the early death of my first son. It was Shaky, taking me back to life with his music.. Thank you Shakin' forever!
Stuart Long From Winterbourne, Bristol
Great to see shaky back. Been a big fan for 24 years since I was 6 years old. Saw him last Novevember in Cardiff and watching him tomorrow night in Bristol, Saturday 18th November 2006. Keep Rockin Shacky.
Glenn Shannon, Teesside
I took my son to Manchester to see the wrestling, and while in the hotel we met Shakin' Stevens. This is the nicest guy I have met - a credit to celebs.
Leo Attwood from Cardiff
I wasnt really into Shaky when I was a kid ... but when I found out he was from my home town I went out and bought all his records. I couldn't believe it when he signed for Fulchester United though... I bet Cardiff would have been in the Premiership years ago if they'd picked him up.
Christmas hasn't started for me until you've heard those magical first lines from Merry Christmas, Everyone! Merry Christmas Shaky!
Rockin' DJ & Jivin'J in Europe

Sue Rose, Sidcup
I have been a Shaky fan since 1981 and was so pleased when he won Hit Me Baby One More Time. It meant Shaky was back and not before time. Saw Shaky last year at Shepherds Bush - he was fantastic. My son who was 14 at the time enjoyed it too. Now looking forward to Sunday to see Shaky at the Lyric Theatre, London, and can't wait to hear some of his new tracks. Love you Shaky.
Ute Hopp from NY
I been a Shaky fan since I '81 and still have all his records. Even when I moved from Germany to the states, back to Germany and then to the states again I always dragged them with me. I saw him in concert in '84 and was lovesick for weeks. I think Shaky is the greatest thing that ever happened to the world of music, but I'm so saddened and surprised that he seems to be almost unheard of hear in the states. Whenever I watch shows about the 80s he is not even mentioned and VH1 Classic who pride themself to have the in on all the 80's music won't even mention him. He should get the attention and recognition he deserves worldwide and not just in Europe. Shaky You Rock :)
Andy Turner, Yate, Bristol
I've been a fan of Shaky since 1981 and still a big fan to this day. Can't wait for his new single and album and I still play his music most days. He is the best in my eyes - all the best Shaky, keep rocking.
Janet Devitt , Blackburn
What a true star, can't wait for new Album "Now Listen" and to see him live in November 2006 @ Manchester. Certainly be a night to remember, glad you're back Shaky xx
Erika from the Netherlands
I loved Shaky's music ever since I heard him for the first time in 1981! His music is the best to listen to when you're driving in your car. As loud as possible!!
I can't wait to hear his new CD "Now Listen". Love him forever!
Dawn Hopper
I have loved Shaky for 26 years and I have seen him many times in concert but seeing him again in 2005 brought all the raw emotion back. I have thought about him constantly - I even told my husband who I love dearly that I would leave him for Shaky. This is clearly not rational behaviour for an intelligent career minded women but this is the spell he tends to cast on adult women. I look forward to seeing him in concert again very soon.
Michael. Denmark
Thank you for beíng true to little Denmark. I´ve been to all your concerts in Denmark since 1983. Next time will be in London, November 2006. Your music makes me happy.
Carolyn, Cardiff
Just 3 little words are all I can say - Shaky, you're amazing.
JC Hardesty, USA
I think Shakin' Stevens is the best thing since Elvis Presley - too bad it's so hard to find his material in the US.
Steven Turner, Chorley
Can't wait for the new album 'Now Listen'. I'm also going to be meeting Shaky before the Manchester gig in November 2006. Rock on Shaky!
Janet from Stevenage
Just had to write in again - Shaky is such an amazing performer. Going to see him again in Nov 2006 - I'm so proud to say I am a Shaky fan xxx
Lisa Boggs from Poole, Dorset
Shaky, I have adored you for 27 years. Apart from being the most gorgeous man on the planet, your music and the way you dance puts Elvis Presley firmly in the shade. Your voice makes me tingle all over. So glad you're back on the scene where you belong and I hope you get the recognition a man with your talents deserves. Long may you reign and the tingling continue!! Love ya to bits.
Jasenka from Croatia
I've been a fan of Shakin' Stevens since 1982. My room was covered with his posters and I bought all of his records (I still have them). His music still warms my heart. It reminds me of more innocent times. I'm so glad that Shaky's back with his new album and to see that there are so many of us who still love him. My biggest wish is to see him perform live so I hope that he'll have a concert in one of our neighbouring countries. I'd definitely go. Forever Shaky!
Chris from Leicester
Green Door is my favourite song of all time! I also love Shaky's version of Merry Christmas Everyone and make sure I listen to it at least three times a day over the festive period! (More if I can get away with it!!!)
Keep on shakin'!!!!
Jeanette Hughes from Liverpool
I am so excited that my 1st true love has an album out in a couple of weeks! I've been a true fan for 27 years and Shaky hasn't changed a bit! He's got even better. I'm gona drive my kids and hubby mad playing the album when I get it!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Shaky for making me smile...again.xxx
Akyay Uygur from Ankara, Turkey
Shaky is definitely the biggest singer of the world. Why? because his songs super brilliant, his dancing super. I love you Shaky. Come to Turkey, from the biggest fan of Shaky in Turkey.
lisa covey swindon
I have records from when he started in Shaky an the Sunsets and even have his Christmas no.1 single and 12" which is also an advent calendar. I even have a Shaky mirror. It's put up safe so it doesn't get broken. As you can tell I think he's good even now. I listen to his albums and have to bop about. His music just makes me happy and remember my childhood (getting told off by mum for blaring his songs out) just hope I get to see him live as I missed out when I was little as my mum got me all excited saying she got tickets then the day before his concert she realised she hadn't got them so
as you can tell I was gutted.
Just hope he makes a come back soon if anyone deserves a second chance then he does. He won stars in eyes so he can win our hearts again ...
Come on Shaky, come back for all your old fans as we still love you
Jill from Fife
Have been a Shaky fan since the age of 10, and saw him last year in Perth, still sounded and looked as good as ever. Looking forward to the new album!
Mary Bass, Plymouth
He is the best ever singer in the world. I want to see more concerts from him.
Dieter Schafer, Bournemouth
Shaky is the greatest. An absolute star. Long may he continue.
John Boyle, Portsmouth
Fantastic - Shaky is back with a new single and album called Now Listen in autumn 2006. Hope he gets the airplay he well and truly deserves.
Faye Collett from Sevenoaks, Kent
I was a massive fan during the 80's growing up. Shaky is the closest thing to Elvis I have ever heard and I have most of his singles and LPs plus an Annual. I used to dress up in denim and dance in front of my mum like him! I can still fall to my knees and manage to get up again like he did! Keep on rockin' Shaky, luv ya Man xx
Bob Cooper
You have to see Shaky live in concert. You will not be bored I assure you.
Liz from Australia
A Love Worth Waiting For has the wow factor. Shaky is the best.
Gisela Fletcher from Florida, USA
I've seen Shaky in Germany twice, over 20 years ago, his music still makes me happy. His performance, singing and dancing was extraordinary. I am still listening to his music. My son, then only 2 years old loved to listen to "Green Door". I have wonderful memories from that time when Shaky was my favorite singer.
Alan from Bedlington
Shaky, enjoyed your music as a kid - still enjoy your music. Not like today - it's too fast to listen to! Rather have Shaky anyday. Hope I get to see you perform sometime. C'mon Shaky!!
Nate Hammond from Newfoundland, Canada
For the first time I heard of Shakin around 3 years ago, I think he is a #1 rock and roll singer. I wish I had heard of him back when I was on the go, our ages are very close.
Maria Habot, Vienna, Austria
I am his fan since This Ol' House - saw him last year in Cardiff St David's Hall. After 22 years live, he was really great. Many years have gone by but he is still great. I flew there only to see him and it was worth it!!! Shaky is a really great singer still and his cover version of Pink's Trouble is good - I was really surprised as I heard it but it's good. Shaky, go on rockin' - want to hear and see more, so Austria and especially Vienna waits for you to come again ... please don't stop giving concerts cause your fans everywhere are waiting.
Tim Boot, Doncaster
i think shaky great , i called the next elvis and mr rock and roll .

Stewart Rushton, Leicester
Shaky is a pure legend, I have a huge collection of his music, videos, etc and will never part with it. Long live Shaky.
Collette Coetzee from S. Africa
My husband and I are great followers of good music, our only entertainment as we live on a farm far from civilisation. We recently purchased his DVD Collection, and boy! We haven't stopped playing it yet. We feel we can relate to Shaky, being the same age and having appreciated the same music throughout the years. May Shaky's reign be a long one!
Christina from Australia
I first heard Shakin Stevens in 1979 I have loved him ever since. I emigrated to Australia in 1981. Not long after he came to play in Melbourne, he was just fantastic. I am hoping one day sooooooooon he will come back and tour OZ.
Rob from St Louis, Missouri, USA
I first heard Shaky around 1983 and loved the tradition he maintained. I recently bought his compilation and found that the songs still sound as good 23 years on (can it really be that long?) as they did then. Good to see he's recording ... can't wait to buy it.
Darek R, Poland
Shakin Stevens was my first music idol and his latest releases rekindled the feeling. I hope and believe his new CD will come out soon and get high!
Marie-Claude Chatelin from France
I've seen Shaky in concert, for the first time in 1981, in Germany. Shaky was, (and still is), such an amazing and charismatic performer, that I didn't have enough of my two eyes to watch, and not enough of my two ears to hear. That evening, when he started singing "It's Raining", we could see, through the windows surrounding the ceiling, that it really began to rain! I was a young teenager, and I thought that my Shaky was supernatural! I never forgot that evening with him. Shaky, your fans all around the world, were longing for you, so, now you're back, we won't let you go away!
Marion Livesey from Manchester
What a guy Shaky is - I've been a fan since I was 9 - I'm now 38 and he is still the best for me. I love him for ever.
Erik from the Netherlands
I can only say the king is dead, long live the new king. Thank God for Shakin Stevens.
Lisa Humphries, Dundee Angus
Hi Shaky - saw you on 12 December - my birthday. I have been a fan of yours since I was 8 years old. I was wondering if there is any chance of you coming to Dundee to do a live performance. I love your music and you have the most incredible voice I have ever heard. I have all your albums and the dvds. It would be great to see you perform live again. Last year was the first time I ever saw you live and you were out of this world. You are an incredible musician shaky and sexy as anything. hope to see you soon. The one thing I would love to happen is to get the chance to meet you in person - that would be a dream come true.
Tina from Denmark
I'm only 17 years old, but I love Shaky!
He really is the best ever. There is no one like him, his voice is so wonderful, and so is he!
I have never seen him live, but I know I will some day!
He rocks my world, and I found that I just can't live without my one and only Shaky!
ivy barett cardiff

Alexandra from the Netherlands
24 years ago I saw Shakin Stevens for the first time on tv. (1982) I was 12 years old and it was love at first side.
"Ow my god he was so HANDSOME!!!! I don't think i had ever seen a man with the face of an angel."
1 wanted to marry him. And be with him for the rest of my life. 1 bought every magazine, just because i wanted to have all the pictures i could get.Through out my teens i was madley in love.....I woke up with his music and i went to bed with it...
At this moment i listen to his songs, and think back with a big smile on my face.
How funny those years were.

Hi I am a crazy, dedicated, loyal 100% SHAKY fan and Have since I heard Hot Dog & Marie Marie it all stemmed from there. I have been in the New`s club since 1984. Vivian Gregson Portsmouth, originally from Cardiff
I remember I'd booked my band Jerry Chandler and The Blue Suedes into the Showbiz Club in cardiff circa 1968 when the then unknown Shaky came up to me and asked if I could get him some gigs. As it happened we were double booked at the Irish club in Cardiff so I gave it to him and the Sunsets, I think the fee was ten guinees which is Ten pounds ten shillings. We also played at the Paget Rooms Penarth on the same show as him. I seem to remember him having something to do with a record shop in Penarth, The House of Wax which we would go to for original Sun records.

Max Shugg from Melton, Australia
I spent my teenage years soaking up the music of The Beatles, Stones etc in the 60's, and my older sister and her friends turned me onto 50's Rock & Roll as well. Lennon & McCartney often said that a lot of their songwriting inspiration came from performers from that era.
When Shaky exploded onto the music scene in the early 80's with his masterful take on 50's Rock & Roll we were all well and truly ready for him - it was a log time between drinks! Been rocking along with Shaky ever since, and yearn for release of a new collection of songs. More power to you Shaky!
P.S. Can anyone give me some info about Shaky's "Rock & Roll Christmas" track (Album, release date etc). It doesn't get a mention on any of the sites I've visited that catalogue Shaky's songs. It's a great up tempo xmas Rock & Roller, much underrated.
Tina Sørensen, Grenå, Denmark

Citizen of Ely
Why doesn't Shaky ever come home. I know some of his family and they never see him. He could help out charity wise, return to his old school which I believe is Hywel Dda. He could help young performers in Ely, give them his advice, and find possibly a new Shaky.
Mick from Dukinfield, Cheshire
I've been a Shaky fan since the begining. I love his music. I've seen him 3 times and he is the best. He is the British king of rock n roll. Hope to hear from you soon Shaky.

We think it's about time Shaky got some credit for being a Top Welsh Artist - it's always Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey!
But Shaky is the 16th highest selling artist ever!! Bigger than Tom or Shirley, so come on, credit where credit is due!
Shaky rocks and he's one cool star.
Chanel Dreyer from South Africa

I am delighted that Shaky has come back into our lives. I listen to the Collectible CD in the car and constantly watch the DVD at home. I just can't get enough of it.
I am a similar age to Shaky and grew up with Elvis Presley music and films. Although musical tastes changed I remained a true RocknRoller and when Shaky arrived on the scene in the 80's he was a natural choice for me.
Well Done Shaky and keep going - you're a legend already.
Laura Parkinson from Liverpool
I was brought up on Rock 'n' Roll, so I unknowingly became a fan of Shaky's "This Ole House". When his Greatest Hits came out I was curious - now I'm HOOKED!!! The man's a credit to the music industry...GOOD LUCK SHAKY ON "hit me baby..." - LUV YA!!! xxx

"Shakin Stevens was a wild and as radical as any human being could possibly be without exploding. All his songs were about D.I.Y... "This old house dont need a window" Thats right, the windows on this house are grand Shakin, get it from the mountain top, we're right behind ya, ya rebel ya."

Wow, I can't believe he's back, it's truly amazing! When I was around 4 years old if you asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up I would say I wanted to marry Shaky! I suppose that makes him my first love ..lol..! I still remember the huge poster I made my mum put on my bedroom wall. I've never seen him live, never knew he was still in the biz to be honest, until my nan telephoned me to tell me he was on HMBOMT! Got the Collectables CD the other day (now playing constantly in my car) and I love the songs as much today as I did then, so many memories came flooding back, the songs certainly stood the test of time too, the mark of a good artist I feel, and I obviously had good taste even as a child! Now I'm 27 years old and Shaky fever has hit me all over again, I was giggling like a child watching the Collectables DVD! I'll be voting on May 21st and hoping for a huge comeback to follow. So good to have you back Shaky!

I am now 32 years old and have loved Shaky since I was roughly 10yrs old, so much so that my mum and dad stenciled his name across my bedroom wall and painted it! Thanks for the great memories!! xx
Theresa from Cumbria
I think he should make a come back as I have always been a big fan I went to see him at the Sands Centre but was most upset that they desided to do a fire drill. I know these things must be done but what bad timing. He is the best singer around and I've realy missed him.

Mike Roberts from Brisbane Australia
I love his songs, and really enjoy seeing his film clips. Wish he'd venture down under and liven up the land that time forgot. (I left Brum in 72).
Rene - Denmark
I think Shaky is a very good singer. I started to listen to Shaky in 1982 when Oh Julie got in the charts. My favourite song is Marie Marie, but Shaky come up with new songs please?

Baroness of Cairu
I have been a great admirer of Shakin Stevens and his talent for over 20 years now. I just got back from Denamrk, Langeland festival, where Shaky gave one of the best gigs ever. He both looked and sounded great. He dazzled us completely with his performance. He always will be my number 1.
Craig Henton, Leicester
The best there is still is the best and always will be. Shaky should be remembered always and not just at Christmas. The most underestimated singer of all time.
Shawreen van Aarde from Brighton
It would be my dream come true to meet Shaky. I just wish he would come and sing in Brighton.
Jill
He's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Agata from Poland

Agnieszka from London
He has been my one and only for over twenty years. And I will never give up on him.
I will wait forever for his new album while plaing his old records. For me, he is one of the most goodlooking and most charming man that ever walked on this planet. I met him in person once! God,I will never forget this for the rest of my life! He was absolutely gorgeous!
Sasho in Macedonia
I've never seen Shaky perform live because of the problems of getting a visa to the UK. I still think that I love him more than anyone in the world and I ask myself why. There are a few answers to that question. Firstly I feel we have things in common - four days difference between our birthdays, patience, honesty, not a big money liker, not attention-seeking, a bit lazy, and hidden charm.I expected much more from him in the past years. He left us waiting and hoping for something strong musically that would appeal to the younger generation too. I personally expected something more complicated and heavier lyrics in his albums...I'm afraid he will remain a mystery for many of his fans.
I'd like to suggest to all you good people in the UK - help us lobby for an easier way to get a UK visa. We are ordinary people who live ordinary lives, and we also like to go to concerts, football matches and to watch movies in the cinema. My biggest wish is to see Shaky live in the UK. Long live Shaky - please do something musically brave!
Ray Humphrey from Cardiff
I have seen Shaky a few times - he gives a really good performance. If he is back recording I can't wait.
Baz from Peterborough
I still play all of Shakys 80s hits today. In a perfect world he would have had more number 1 hits but I don't think he was appreciated as much as he could have been. His brilliant version of 'True love' beat Elton John hands down but my favourite shaky tune was 'A Love Worth Waiting For'. I'd love to see him make a comeback but I think we've seen the last of him I'm afraid.
Ian Forbes from Cardiff
He was one of the biggest stars and best selling artists of the 1980s, and a great live performer too - I can recall many a happy night in his company in and around Cardiff.Perhaps his crowning achievement was to produce what to my mind is the greatest Christmas tune of our time, the fabulous Merry Christmas Everyone, complete with false ending and key change. A guaranteed floor-filler at any Christmas party. It was great to see this song being performed on the festive edition of Pop Idol a couple of weeks back - although the lovely Michelle struggled to do it justice.
The big question has got to be, when we will see the King perform live again? Come on Shaky, your fans are out there, waiting for you!!
Simon Cory from Cardiff
Shaky provided the soundtrack to the 80s, with his unique brand of chirpy rock. He seemed to rise above the trends of the time and consistently prove that if the song was good enough and performed well enough, it would be a success. The highlight of his career, for me, must be Merry Christmas Everyone. I remember dancing to it in Coco Savannas in Cardiff, a few years after it had been a hit. Everyone was having a fantastic time, singing and dancing along - and that sums him up really: he just made music that ensured everyone had a good time!
Hits from This Ole House, Green Door, Oh Julie through to classics such as I Might showed that he rarely produced a duff track. More recently, in support of Status Quo, he showed that he had lost none of his original cool and could still knock the hits out. He's a credit to Cardiff - the man's a star!
