We met Charlotte today with Gavin and her two gorgeous children at a dog show near Southerndown beach. My daughter, Katie, had a photo taken with her, and she was lovely. She had two adorable Jack Russell puppies with her too!
Janette Leonard, Aberdare
I think Charlotte is fantastic, and I applaud her for doing just as she likes with her life - an attitude which has made her extremely successful. And because of that attitude, she won't give a damn about you "knockers" - why should she? She has done more at her tender age than I bet any of you have - go to it girl, can't wait to see you back when you've finished devoting your time to your little 'uns!
Tracy, Cardiff
Charlotte, a one off girl. She's still a down to earth lass who enjoys the celebrity circuit but still enjoys clubbing it out with the girls, although now it's coffee and not beer. She has matured into a beautiful mother with 2 beautiful children. I wish she could get Gavin to smile a little more though, he always looks so glum. She can be a little crass at times with the swearing and innuendos, most times it's funny, but other times it's close to the mark, but her programme was going against Jonathan Ross...Keep up exactly as you are Charlotte and you won't go far wrong. xxx
Linda Carmarthen
Congratulations Charlotte and Gavin, you both seem well balanced young individuals. Make the most of your time with your babies whilst their young, Charlotte, you can go back to singing and giving us the pleasure of hearing you later. Again Be happy and enjoy.
darryll seabourne,bognor
I would prefer Charlotte if she stuck to Opera, however it's her choice and I wish her well. These days I listen more to Katherine Jenkins.
Cass
Talented,Down to earth,Rich[she's worked for it].Stop slating her...jealousy..terrible trait..usually by untalented,boring individuals.
Pernickity Witch from Devon
Yes she can sing in tune, and has a pleasant enough voice, but there are loads of 'unsung' (excuse the pun) singers out there - think Verona Opera Festival - that don't get the same level of recognition! Voice of an Angel? Merely ordinary. Have you seen the Charlotte Church Show! Have you heard the language? She kisses her children with that mouth!
Lily Axelsen ex-pat UpperBoat (now NZ)
Amazing voice (Not a comediene) but should stick with singing.
Philip Glynn
Uuggggh. Years back when she was a serious classical singer she was bearable but now, oh well, that's show business for you. The louder you screech the more the press love you. Personally I cannot stand her but that's taste for you, give me Mahler any day.
Christa in Texas
Blessed with a truly beautiful voice! I hope she will use it to the fullest and sing with joy!
Lin Waring from Dorset
Some of the comments are atrocious and should not be on here !!! Charlotte is very talented and I think that some of the comments here are just plain jealousy !!
Alicia from Penarth
My mum used to be best friends with her and I even remember her from when I was little and her coming over, she still meets up with my mum now, she is a really nice person with an amazing voice ! =]
Piper from Texas
I have been a fan of Charlotte's since 2001 and coincedently share the same birthdate with her, even the year. I don't think she needs further commentary on her life, just leave her be, people! I wish her much joy and contentment with Ruby and Gavin; and absolutely love her! I'm a life-long fan, for sure. Take care Charl! I can't wait to hear more from you.
Krista Prowing, Pennsylvania, USA
I want to congratulate Charlotte and Gavin on their new baby girl. We here in the United States are very happy for the both of them. So you two once again congrats on the new arrival. Let the light shine down on you all. And let God bless you with happiness & love.
Loz
Top notch bird, keep on swearing!!! and congrats on the birth of the kiddie!
Kelly Widemire from Akron, Ohio, USA
Charlotte is amazing. I absolutely love her and hope someday to meet her. I think she's got one of the most amazing voices in the world. I do believe you have to pretty darn talented to be able to sing opera or classical ballads and then be on top of the pop charts. Though she is know for being a saprano her range is amazing. She is also very beautiful and loves her curves - to me that is a very empowering thing. She kinda taught me to love me for me. Thanks Charl for not wasting away and embraces your Welsh curves.
Phillip Sheppey from Croydon
Charlotte Church is my favourite singer. Her good looks are like sushine on a beautiful day. Her figure is perfect. She's my type of girl.
John Helliwell, Swansea
You're up there with the BEST Charlotte.
Jeff Weir, Adelaide, South Australia
Best female singer that I have ever heard. I have all your DVDs and CDs that are available in Australia. Absolutely brilliant. Hope that one day you will tour down in Australia, because we just do not get to hear enough of you here. You would be very popular.
Emma Carr
I think Charlotte is great. My nan brought myself and my other cousins a recording of Charlotte when she was about twelve or fourteen. It was a video of her in my nan's sister's house, across the road from Charlotte's nan's. She was so bright and cheerful then as she is today. We all had a great chat. The best to you Charlotte and becoming a mother.
Jan from Cardiff
I think it is disgusting that Charlotte has given her approval for Gordon Ramsey to use her and Gavin's names for the poor little lambs that are to be reared by nasty Gordon Ramsey in his back garden and then culled for his Chanel 4 show "The F-word". I hope nobody watches the show and the ratings go down.
Jade Canham from Wolverhampton
Charlotte, you are an amazing person. Everyone who says you are a phony needs to get a life of their own. You have been my role model for years - not loads because I'm only 13 but most of my life I have looked up to you. I love your Channel 4 show and you will be a great mum and wife.
Alex Goldsmith from London
I really like Charlotte Church but she really does swear too much. If she stopped swearing (even to adults) she'll become a lot more popular. I wish she would just stop swearing. If you see this Charlotte please take my advice and stop swearing. My mum said I can't really like you becuase you swear to much. If you stopped you would become a lot more popular and I'd be able to be one of your fans.
Lorraine Schmitt, Murfreesboro, Tennessee
When is Charlotte returning to Nashville, Tennessee USA for another performance? Missed her the last tour. Why has Charlotte not been chosen to perform with the Celtic Women group?
Nicola Connor
Personally I dont think Charlotte Church is anything vocally special. Just a case of being in the right place at the right time on the Jonathan Ross Show all those years ago. At the time she was "discovered" there were about 200 BETTER child sopranos in the UK than here. She just made it big because of all the grannies buying into thr whole "Voice Of An Angel" extraordinaire marketing goof. And I know 4 highly respected voice coaches in the Cardiff and Newport area who agree with me. Charlotte no longer sings the National Anthem at rugby internationals because the real talent i.e Katehrine Jenkins (trained at The Royal Academy Of Music London) bloody drowns here out every time and exposes Charlotte's vocal averageness (is that a word?!) On a more personal note I think she's awesome, very attractive and has a boyfriend who clearly adores here. If she's gonna sing then stick to pop. I quite liked some of her pop songs.
Holly Evans
I think Charlotte Church is fantastic. One day I would love to be like her. All she needs to do now is get her boyfriend shipped into shape!!
Molly Paget from Deeside
I love your show Charlotte - it's funny and it is really cool. My mum and dad and brother watch it! xx u rock! xx xmx
Robert from Newbridge
Charlotte is such a good singer and the press just give her a hard time. I am about to take over the Newbridge Hotel and she's welcome to a sing song with me anytime. PS Keep up the good work...
Alicia Forsey, Penarth
You are really good - especially "Moodswings" lol....keep it up!!!
John Price from Rotherham
Good luck to you Charlotte from a 73 year old Welshman living in Yorkshire. The criticism that you receive is just jealousy. I wish you every succes in your career and private life.
Joe Harvey from London
Miss Church cannot sing to save her life. With her new image she is trying to be like Britney & Lindsay Lohan but she has more in common with Miss Lohan with her heavy drinking & smoking. They should hook up at a bar one night and I bet they wil be so out of it that both will go crashing into a cab on the way home.
Jenifer from Australia
My singing teacher said that Miss Church really can't sing. She hasn't been trained properly & just uses head & chest voice without the support of her diaphragm. She strains in her voice & she takes a big breath in before she belts a note. He is right. You're not supposed to do that. When she sings live she sounds terrible & sings out of tune.
Susan Matthews from Bridgend
I think she is really good - I just hope she is proud to be Welsh because I am. I would love to meet her one day.
Alwyn, north Wales
I think Charlotte Church had an unique classical singing voice, and I love the album Prelude. Her transition into pop has worked well, and just proves what sort of vocal range she has, and she can express herself with her own thoughts and feelings in her part of writing and arranging her own songs. I think Tissues and Issues is a great album, and am sure there is a lot more to come from Charlotte.
Fan from US
Charlotte Church singing pop is like playing chopsticks on a rare, one-of-a-kind Steinway. It's such a waste. I was going to buy Tissues and Issues for my 8 year old until I saw the clips of her show and all the effenheimers she uses. Profane language isn't adult and part of maturing. It's the mark of a vocabulary too limited for intelligent, witty expression.
Kayleigh from South Wales
I think Charlotte is an idol to young singers and admirers. I think she has a fabulous personality and is natural. I do think that her swearing has started to become out of hand. But is it just showing that Charlotte is becoming more adult and people aren't used to the new Charlotte? Well I think she's fab, I'd love to get to meet her one day. And best of all she's WELSH xxxx
Allison Cardiff
To Jay, there is nothing wrong with Splott. U wish people would let the girl have a life. St Mellons is no luxury suburb. She is down to earth and not a snob, good on her. There is nothing wrong with Splott or Butetown. The people make these communities. Love for the future Charlotte x
Hannah from Newport
Charlotte you have been slated many times by the press - I have never met you or seen you in Cardiff so I can't comment on you personally, but I do think anyone as successful as you at such a young age should be looked up to by many!
Mary from New York state, USA
You're a phony, Charlotte. Grow up!
Hector Daniel from Aguascalientes, Mèxico
I want to know if Charlotte will visit Mèxico, when, where? For me, she is the most beautiful singer of the world.
Sylvia Smith
Just want someone to tell Charlotte that this Italian grandmother in San Antonio, Texas has just heard this CD and it is lovely. I think God was sick and bored with loud, screaming, yelling female voices on this earth and decided He would give Charlotte this angelic voice for the world. I hope that you will use this gift well. Have fun, be happy, don't go nuts with the power and money thing, enjoy singing and friends and family. Thank you and God for such a lovely gift.
BMD, Pontypool
To Pat and Mike - you say Church has a mega talent. Yes, she HAD a beautiful classical voice, a pop singer maybe! Her mother complains the media is hounding her (mm another Diana - if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen). You went "touting" for the right to be a "celebrity" and you have been paid well. To James in Cardiff - no I am not jealous. If you want to listen to her that's your choice mine is and remember this FREEDOM OF SPEECH is still MY right. I don't like Church and hate her new "show". She is a really awful ambassador for this wonderful country - nothing to do with age, more to do with breeding!!
Kevin from the USA
You have to respect a person who’s not afraid to try new things.
Becky from Caerphilly
To all of you who got nothing good to say about Charlotte; at the the end of the day your all just jealous!! Whether you think she's great or not she's made it big and good for her. She was a normal teenager going to public school and no different to anyone else but look where she is today - just goes to show if you try hard enough you can make it. Even though she has made it as a star she's still the same, with her bad temper and her swearing. Even with all the magazines criticising her about her weight she just couldn't care less! Most of the celebrities who make it big turn to right snobs and think they're better than everyone else, but not Charlotte (She still shops in Primark! How Cool is that?) I say go for it Charlotte - those that criticise are just jealous that they aren't where you are now. You Go Girl!!
Sandy Williams from Cardiff
She's a good girl, very talented, extremely pretty and she knows where she's going in life. For a young girl she's very level headed. She's very much in love with Gavin and that's nice. I hope it lasts, they seem very suited. She can come to my clinic any time and I would be delighted to do a lovely relaxing facial for her, beautiful voice, beautiful girl.
Christian from Bridgend
Fab voice when singing pop - sexy and down to earth.
Clara & George Stroup, Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, USA
My husband and I have enjoyed Charlottes singing over the years and we think she is a beautiful young lady. Now that she is grown up we do not hear much about her over here in the United States. At least I haven't heard her sing any pop songs, yet. I hope we see and hear from her soon.(Editor's Note - see www.charlottechurch.com for the latest on her pop career)
Bea, from Canada.
We've seen little of Charlotte on television since she started singing pop.
Her fame appears to have made her go a bit wild, and smoking, drinking etc., are not good for the voice. I think she's very talented, but may have to go through this uncontrolled period before she is mature enough to realize how distructive this is for her. It's a real shame that she takes her talent and personality so casually, and behaves as they say she does when in public. I would say she badly needs a mentor, to get her back on track.
Paul from Cowbridge
How can anyone criticise someone for making the best of what they have - its just jealousy. Charlottes talented for sure, down to earth, honest and pretty. I admire her candour, for acting her age and not apologising about it.
Laura Cocks, Essex
I absolutely love charlottes new music! I sing along with my hairbrush in front of the mirror whenever I listen to her album!
And shes so pretty!
love you charlotte
xxxx
Mike from Liverpool
Jessica from scotland - is so jealous of a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice. Dont let it eat you up.
gemma, leicester
Lotte is real. She's a great role model for me. Just wish I could sing like her
jess, llandaff
Charl is so lucky to have gavin henson as a boyfriend
mama Mia, Llandaff
I think Charlotte Rocks
Paul Thomas from Bargoed
give the girl a break i'm very proud of the girl she's done more for wales at such a young age than most she put wales on the map she's no diffrent to any other child growing up other than she can sing and been lucky enough to make a few bob too leave the girl alone she done her self and wales proud
rhys from t
think you are lovely good on you girl
Anna from Church Village
Why can't people just leave the girl alone. She's only 20!!! Don't tell me that there are people out there who never drank or smoked, or got completley hammered when they were a teenager! Charlotte is just growing up/becoming and adult like any other normal girl/woman of her age, it's just that thanks to the press we get to see parts of her life that, thank god, people can't see of ours!
I've seen her sing live and she can certainly hold her own on stage - none of this mimming business. I hope she has much more success ahead of her.
Bored, in Cardiff
I saw her shopping in Cardiff last year and was shocked that a girl with millions of pounds still browses in Debenhams and Miss Selfridge! Good on her. As for being gorgeous and talented, I'm not sure - she's pretty I suppose (curvy but surprisingly petite) and she can definitely sing better than me though that isn't hard! She's really not the most talented girl in the pop industry but she's managed to gain some credibility so good on her, enjoy it whilst it lasts!!!
Alex Guest
Charlotte is truly one lush diva. I have all of her albums, including the bootleg duet with Gavin Henson and Max Boyce! My bedroom is full of C.Church Smash Hits posters and I can sing most of the her new album lyrics when I drive to work in the morning.
Elisa Jenkins from Cardiff
I think charlotte church is a great person, she is head strong, welsh and says what she thinks, i saw her in the summer at party in the park and she came around the front to watch the other singers perform and she also took pictures with some of the people in the crowd. She seems absolutly lovley and i can't believe that some people out there would put her voice down to sound engineers. As for the nights out, what just because she's famous she can't have a good night out? There are girls out there who act sooo much worse than that. She is ace i loved her classical stuff and she has taken on the pop side sooo well and i love her new stuff.
Phil - Cardiff
I cannot understand why the media are still trying to shoot down a young lady of 20 years of age. Come on these people' don't forget you were once 20 yourself' what were you like at 20' I bet just like Chalete. Before you go on air or to print a story, take a look back at your teenage year. If you are is 60s plus, you had rock and roll. if you are in your 50's, it was the Summer of Love and Woodstock etc!
Let this young woman have a good time while she can and please stop trying to sell newspapers - let her and her boyfriend the live the live they want with each other. Remember' You were young once or were you!!
Danielle from Rhondda
i think charlotte is pretty and has a great voice and her album is great and she got a mint boyfriend and i think that they suit
Jessica from Scotland
I have worked as a singer in musicals, operas and to be honest most people who are working in big operas DON'T regard Charlotte Church as any kind of singer atall. The hype does it all for her I'm afraid. When she sings live she can't stay in tune! She has power but no tone or proper pitch. As for her albums, well... it's the sound engineers who do all the work. People ought to remember truly great Sopranos like the late Maria Callas. Charlotte Church is nothing compared to a talent of her calibre. I really think she is awful and I have heard many singers, most have been far superior to the likes of her. She has been very, very lucky.
Eve From Birmingham
Charlotte has an amazing talent but she needs to stop being so outsopken and learn when to stop drinking. She looks a mess in some recent "night out" photo's. It doesnt look much fun to me. It seems a waste of such a talented, beautiful, yound lady. I know she doesn't care about peoples opinions but i think sometimes she needs to listen and get off her high horse. But i think her new music is FAB !!!!!!
Ashleigh Jones Aberdare
I like Charlote Church because she is a good singer and she is very pretty.
Jan from Cardiff
good luck on your driviing skills, Charlotte
scott andrews
she smells
Lily from Ystrad Mynach
I luv u charl I go to howell,s school too.
Leonie lopez
Curch is becoming to fat for my liking EVERYTIME i see her she seems to be getting fatter and fatter each time, especially that hair! that doesn't help either its atrocious her face is like a ballon- is it any wonder when all she does is binge drink and eat!! She's going down the pan in my eyes, she's a complete mess, and jee's am i glad im not from wales!!! i would be truly ashamed- knowing something as vile and talentless as that dropped out!!
A complete mess!!
Her boyfriend could do so much better than that!! come on!
Jan from south Wales
Poor Charlotte, she does not deserve the bad publicity in a certain Sunday newspaper this week - December 2005 - about the atrocious antics of her adopted father. She is a person in her own rights, and should be allowed the privacy of the same. Good Luck Charlotte, you will need it.
RACHEL NETHERCOTT BARRY
I love this girl she has everything...a lush figure...a lush boyf and loadsa money...she so lucky!! Bought her album tissues and issues and its great
Ashley Neill from Swansea
I think charlotte is brill, but i think she should go back to classical because she would do better if she was still in classical. i am only 16 and i like classical music. i am going off her because she is going into pop.
Prowing
I Think Charlotte's New Look Is super Awesome. I Think She Looks Wonderful. I Like Her New Look. I Thinks She Looks Cute. I Got Bernette Hair Color Well Almost. Dark Brown. It Got Any Darker It Would Be. So What People Think Of Her Should Kiss Her Bloddy Ass. They Are Just Jealous. Cause She Is Doing Something Of Her Life. Charlotte You Go Girl. You Rock. Just Keep Reaching For That Star. And Your Dreams Will Come True.
Ajen from S Wales
Sorry Charlotte, I do not like your new hairdo. I think it makes you look frumpy and old before your time. Change your stylist, and get a younger image.
Katherine Murphey from Llanfairwyllgynll
Her changing of musical styles does not perturb me in any way. It's the rest of it that I find disappointing. She may think she seems more appealing with her 'new look' - but the drinking, smoking, and revealing is not attractive.
Nicole Sinclair -Thomson
I think you are are a good singer, but i hope you go as a popstar!!
Elin from Angelsey
Just wanna say that I think Charlotte Church is absolutely great! I love her voice, I love her new songs, and she is just great. What I like most about her, she don't give a crap what people think of her and she will speak her mind - she's not afraid!! And you know, people are so pathetic, gossoping about her liking drugs! All I can say is, get a life!! As if she would take druga! And so what, she drinks, we all do it! And the last point I wana say about her is she comes form Wales. We all should be proud of her not saying bad points all the time. Support her she's only young! Good for u Char.
Phil from Blackwood
she's a'right
cheri garcia
I think charlotte church is a real talent, and she is making it with her pop music. Do check the latest charts.
I love the fact that she is so natural and honest. One just cannot help liking her. I do think she should sometimes be careful of what she says, but even then she always wins people over. Ms. Church you are and always will be a winner. Go for it kid!!!
Andy, Cardiff
Charlie and Gav come into the club where I work the door quite often. The pair themselves are nice enough now they've calmed down a bit - it's their hangers-on who are idiots who think they can jump queues and no pay just because they know the couple. In fairness to Chaz and Gav, they put them in their place and don't give it the, "Do you know who I am?" stuff they once were known for.
C.P. South East Wales
Never rated her in those 'Voice of an Angel' days but think her pop persona is much better. I've seen her in Cardiff a few times, shopping with her mates, and she didn't act like the spolt brat people here are suggesting she's become. Looks great these days - she's blossomed into a curvy beauty.
Marilyn from Cardiff
Charlotte is a very kind and generous young lady, and if anyone knew the true person, they would realise she deserves to be where she is. She is lucky to have the back up of a strong family who love and support her very much. She is destined to be a star we will never forget.
Rowena and Sarah from Aberdare
Thanks for making such fantabulous music - we are now proud to be Welsh.
Crazy Chick was the ultimate sound of our summer and the only song that gets me up on the dancefloor!!
Keep making such great songs. Taaaaa love!!
Rachel From Nottingham
I think her new album is great and a lot better than some of the pop out there. She is a normal 19 year old in to the latest music. There is plenty of time to go back to classical. I think she will just get stronger and stronger if she persues pop. Look at Kylie's first song. There are plenty of worse acts out at the mo. Charlotte isn't one of them. Instead of being wafer thin wearing little and singing, she sings well and keeps it real with her dignity intact. You go girl.
Jessica, Llandaff, Cardiff
Charlotte should stop swearing, drinking and smoking so much. Perhaps she should join the Kabbalah like Britney has done!
Jess Jenkins
I think Charlotte is brill, very talented and I loved her film 'I'll be There'. I've bought her album and can't stop singing along with it. My mum likes her too!!
Keep it up Charl!
Pat & Mike from Pontypridd
Reading through the list of comments, I'd just like to know what on earth is wrong with the people of South Wales? They just don't see mega-talent when it's staring them in the face! We think you're absolutely fantastic Charlotte, & destined to be the female Robbie Williams whom we also love.
Don't listen to the jealous clap-trap. Just carry on being true to yourself - you're destined for even greater things. Love & Best Wishes xxx
Joey from the Docks, Cardiff
Why critisise the Cardiff Docks Charlotte, when Splott is only just up the road where you originally came from? You were glad to bunk down at Steven's fathers house, wherever it may be, so please think before you speak about any location in Cardiff.
Jenna from Cardiff
Having seen it on TV, the new single - my opinion is - it could be anyone that is up and coming and trying to make it as a pop artiste. Nevertheless "All The Best".
Philip Glynn from Newtown
Absolutely awful. Why has she changed? Her public image has been tarnished as well - but the new songs, well, go back to the classics please.
Jay from St Mellons
I saw Charlotte on 'This Morning' with Phillip and Fern, and thought 'Why don't you - Charlotte - spend some of your cash on elocution lessons'. Her speech is diabolical, and her 'Splott-Cardiff' accent is even worse. I cringe when she opens her mouth, and I am from Cardiff, and hope I don't speak as bad as that.
Natalie from Barry
She's very stuck up - I've seen her in Cardiff and looks down at everyone else. She even said "I am not queuing up - I'm far too important". Would you believe that?
Jackie Jones (DJ Ammon) Porth, Rhondda
Charlotte has really pulled it of with her new single Crazy Chick which has hit the top of the charts. A catchy track proving she has passed the test in the pop world. A risky transition to make, but the gal has done it. Well done Charlotte!
Brian from Penarth
Yeah, yeeaah, yeeeaaah. Hasn't she picked up how to speak properly from that expensive Howell's School education? A Cardiff accent is one thing, there's nothing wrong with that, but at least pronounce the words properly. Perhaps all that booze has paralysed her speech organs. Someone in this site has said she's worried about her smoking, but what about her poor liver having to work overtime getting rid of the alcohol?
morgan of Varteg
As a father of four daughters who are completely without any sort of performing talent, (except when they were 'performing', if you get my drift), I must say that the girl has something to be careful of. I heard her on Radio Wales this morning, and heard the exact same sort of girl that I had raised, with her attitude and general demeanour, if not talent.
I cannot criticise her at all, but would remind her that the world is a very unforgiving place, especially to those who do not 'toe the line'. Her Cardiff accent is nothing to be ashamed of, that's where she come from, but as she ages she may well be advised to follow in the footsteps of Lulu with her manner of speech, and lose the basic Cardiff accent a few degrees, as Lulu did with her Scots accent.
Beyond that, she's still a kid, despite the boozy sessions and the fags, They should go, hopefully sooner than later.
Don't let 'em grind you down Charlotte Church. Remember that the world's greatest vocalists, both classical and Pop are usually Brits. The Welsh even on top of that list.
Until you foul your nest, you are amongst the best, so work hard to put away childish behaviour and all will be well with your world.
Jennifer, RISCA se.wales
I think Charlotte church should be allowed to get on with whatever she wants to do and that we now have other welsh stars and she is just a normal 18 year old woman who should be left alone, I mean who really cares anyway?
Chris from Lisvane
Having seen and heard Charlotte on Jonathon Ross I would say "Pop to Flop Big Time"
Arthur Brown, Splott, living Bexhill-on-sea
Charlotte might settle down one day and
start to sing her own songs, not what you or I want her to sing. So get off her back
and forget about her for a while.
Jana from Lisvane
Charlotte is about to produce a new record, will it be any good? We will all have to wait and see. Time will tell.
Irish fan
Char you've got a fab voice, keep it up!!
Matthew Baker Papworth Everard Cambs
I think she is the most beautiful young lady I have seen and I would love to have her autograph. I would love to hear and see her performing in the Cambridge area and I would like to wish her all the best.
Jan, Cardiff
Maria the mother is complaining about the papparazzi (or newspapers) hounding her precious Charlotte. Well surely it is the papparazzi (or newspapers) that have put Charlotte where she is today. Without them she would still be a struggling amateur performer. Give the press some credit.
Mary from Cardiff
I do think the tabloids give her a hard time. They print "kiss and tell" stories and if they can find an unflattering angle to photograph her they do so. Perhaps she has not always been sensible in choosing boyfriends but how many teenagers are always sensible? If she is strong enough to overcome all stories (true or not) told about her then I wish her luck.
Zoe from Lisvane
Well done Charlotte,-- Kyle's vivid details of your sex life deserved a punch. The Nation enjoyed every sordid detail.
Jan from Cardiff
Why Oh Why did they all 'Booo' Charlotte at The Millennium Stadium, She is worth much more than a Boo, and her true talent shone through. God Bless you Charlotte,-- you are a real Trouper.
Joey from Lisvane
Is Charlotte giving her services (to the Tsunami concert) really for free, or does she get administrations fee? Does every penny go to the victims of the disaster?
Marcus from Barry
I've seen her a few times around Cardiff and she does seem to think that she is better than every1 else. Her "friends" only hang round with her cos she is famous. Hopefully she'll wake up one day and realise this. She needs to get out of Cardiff and try and make something of her life otherwise in a few years no one is gonna be talking bout her. Still sexy as though!!!!
Rebekah Smith from Pencoed
I think she should become a pop star because at the moment no one really listens to her apart from old people. I think she should be singing 2wards teens and their tastes.
Anon
The movie 'I'll be There' is awesome! Charlotte -you inspire me!
Laura from Cardiff
I just wanted 2 say i think every1 should get off her back. She seems like a decent girl trying to enjoy her life. She seems to be fed up with every1 still calling her 'the voice of an angel'. She's trying 2 drop da name. I say good luck to ya Char and good luck with ur fella - he seems nice enough to!
J, Cardiff
Why not do pop, she can't possibly get any worse..... or can she?
James in Cardiff
Has any1 noticed that most of the negative comments are from people in South Wales, jealous that they are not part of a "rags-to-riches" story. I've seen her around a bit and think that she seems like a regular teenager that doesn't like being hassled when she's out. Being a singer, she shouldn't have to give up her privacy.
Joey in Cardiff
I read in the paper she burned off all her 'fat' without setting one foot in the gym - and never will. Funny how I saw her last week in Fitness First innit!
is it coz im cool?
I think kat n kate in IT are total losers. I mean anybody with any style does not like charlotte church, and is even worse to come on bbc south wales or wateva n brag about it. GET A LIFE. PS spice girls r cool 4eva - GIRL POWER
Katy in mrs hestletines business studies
I totally agree with kat n kate in ICT 31B. She really does have the voice of an angel. I would love her 2 sing 4 me. I think she is THE greatest female artist of all time. She was amazing on Duke of edinburgh.
Kat n Kate from I.T. room 31B, Science Department
We think Charlotte Churchy is THE BEST person eva 2 sing GHOSTBUSTERS, its our favourite song, EVA, we would also like it if we could go and visit Churchy at some point in the future because we love her

I wish she'd try 2 rememba where she came from. Holla back at us Charl. We supported you y'know. Howell's maseeeve 4eva. Peace. xx
Louise, Wirral
I read in the paper today that she believes fans calling her Voice of an Angel is pathetic. She believes they should have come up with something better. How about - Spoilt and Ungrateful Little Girl. That's much more appropriate!
S J from Docks
From what I've seen, I think her money's taken over her!
Janette Welsh
I think Charlotte could be another Sandi Patty (US gospel singer from Indiana). I have been impressed with her voice.
Suzanne from Caerphilly
Great voice, lovely looking - what more could any girl want?
Riverside Boy
I think the girl got talent but she needs to sort out her attitude. She thinks she's some kind of rude girl jus because she's been out with 2 wannabe rough boys.
Paul from Barry
I was out in a local pub in Cardiff centre recently and saw an unstable spoilt brat...She should realise the public put her where she is, after all she is no better than anyone else. She still needs to grow up.
Cardiff gal
I think she's a normal teenager - she just wants to have fun! Her voice is truly amazing.
Natalie from Landough
I hear bad and good stories about her. I do feel sorry for her as she's going through what every girl goes through. Only she is in the public eye and I hate to say it,0 but she knew this would come in time. Anyway, she's found a brill guy. I know him - I used to go out to town on sat night and meet him and his mates. Kyle's going to be a good guy for her and so will she for him. I hope they are very happy. She's in love and they should let her be. I'm in love at only 19 and nobody makes a fuss - I don't see the big deal. nice one charl kim em all down xxxxx

I think that Charlotte Church is the greatest singer in the whole world and I will pray for her that she don't smoke cigarettes because it may gave her lung cancer and heart disease. I hope she quit smoking and I hope she comeback and sing for everyone in the UK and the USA. I love her music so Charlotte Church I'll pray for you and I love you.
A docks boy, Cardiff Bay
I think she's a spoilt brat to be honest....she's quite stunnin' tho.
Dave - ex-pat from Ely, Cardiff
I think Charlotte is gorgeous...(lovely voice too). I used to live in Ely, just around the corner! now her school etc. I wish her all the very best. Ignore the bitchyness of some others - it comes with the fame. I'm living in East Anglia now, aged 71 - but my eyes are still excellent !!
Nike Hamilton from Maryland, USA
I say 'You go Girl'! I think Charlotte is fantastic and should follow her 'road'. If I had stayed on the stage at 'Skewen Lower' where I did my first solo of 'Hin Von ver nyn' (pardon spelling), maybe I would have been dragged off into the world of top voice and stardom!
Kate from Cardiff
People who buy her music are mugs. Why anyone would want to support a smug spoiled brat is beyond me!
Alex White from Penarth South Glam
Charlotte is an awesome talent. Seen her in town loads, and all the tantrum rumours are completly false, well, MAYBE!!!!

She's Gorgeous
Sergio from Costa Rica
I think that she's excellent. Her voice is incredible, but she need to know how this world moves and think about what she's gonna do.
JC From MO, USA
I personally would like to see feedback from Charlotte on the comments from her fans. I know she has thoughts and feelings about what her fans are saying about her. I really love Charlotte's voice no matter what song she sings - and I would really love to see her perform here in St. Louis Missouri.
Kelley McLaughlin from Chicago Illinois USA
Her music is really good, and is best when she sings opera, not pop and all that other stuff that Americans do. Americans LOVE her here and think that she's really good, but I don't think that she'll make a good pop singer. She would be good in movies though, but it's gonna get real tough sometimes.
Obioma from Maryland, USA
The first time I heard Charlotte's Voice of an Angel album, I didn't hesitate to purchase it. I enjoy listening to her songs.
If she decides to go into movies, well, she has to be ready for many challenges. Although she may have had a record-selling album, it may be slightly different when it comes to movies. Nevertheless, I would suggest she features, if she pleases, in movies that are musically and or family-oriented like The Sound of Music, Chitty-Chitty Bang-bang, to name a few. Otherwise, good luck Charlotte. The choice is yours.
A fan from America
I fear she is going down the wrong path and 'her' talent is going down the drain. It is a God-given talent and should not be abused. I love singing soprano, even though I am an alto...I loved listening to Charlotte when the songs she sang and the attitude in which they were sung were pure.
Charlotte - I hope that you will re-consider what you are doing.
Henry Chang from Taiwan
She's got that sweet, pure soprano voice and I think she should make the best use of it. Her voice doesn't sound right while she's singing pop songs.
David from Barnet
She's spoilt and is in danger of losing her public. A decent voice though.
Allene Goodman in Mississippi, USA
This classy, refined lady is a breath of fresh air on a smog -filled universe in today's restless world. Her bearing speaks well of those who influenced her life.
Her pure, clear voice is a special gift that instills peace and calmness to her audiences of all ages, a gift that will bring her great monetary rewards and the satisfaction of initiating an appreciation for real music in the youth previously deprived of such an admirable idol.
In a spirit of love for youth in a troubled world, I strongly urge this special lady be slow change her image. To rush headlong into extreme cultures can have a negative irreversible impact at this critical age in her life. We greatly admire Charlotte just as she is.
Yes, I speak from from the empirical evidence of having observed three generations of children grow up!
Eleanor from Chepstow
I'm living in the US right now and people love her here.....The only problem is she's branded as a soprano, so the majority of fans listen to her earlier and more classical works. I don't know how they would feel if she went into pop or films. I have noticed that people here are interested in singers who go into acting, so perhaps she'll have better luck there. I'm only fourteen and I've been a fan for ages. I'll support her whatever she chooses to do.
David Jones from Pen Argyl
I think she should explore the pop music scene. But she should also consider singing some classical crossover songs. It works for Russell Watson and it would make her classical fans happy as well as those who would like to see her sing pop music.
What do you think of Charlotte Church?
