Have your say

Euan from Scotland
Excellent Papageno, rescuing a lacklustre, indeed very average, Magic Flute by Scottish Opera. By far the biggest laughs, applause and cheers of the night - deservedly so.

Frances Reilly, Lanarkshire
Roland was a star as Papageno in recently otherwise disappointing production of The Magic Flute by Scottish Opera. Great acting and presence on stage - and good singing.

Russ Wood from Twyford, Berks.
He was a heat winner and thus was robbed of a position in the final, but I would say that wouldn't I. I'm his dad !

Marjory from Cumbernauld
I saw Roland in Scottish Opera's Magic Flute and he was a great Papageno.

Anne Boden
I thoughtthat this was a beautiful, well rounded voice with good tone and control. In fact I thought it was one of the best baritone sounds all week. He deserved to win his night at least.

Peter and Irene Finch Woodley Reading
We were lucky to hear Roland sing for several years at Burns Nights at Sonning nearby. We are so delighted at his wonderful progress and would like to know his forthcoming programme apart from his forthcoming appearance in La Boheme.

Jennifer from Edinburgh
Why is this man not in the final?! He's extremely talented and a brilliant performer. Roland Wood will go far, I am sure of it.

Chris from South London
I think it's very sad that a lot of the other competitors have supportive messages and our own English singer hasn't a single comment. We should all get behind Rolo. Not because he's English but because he's a real stage animal and better than average young baritone, (who just happens to be English). Well done Rolo, don't forget to turn the screw!
