It's not just how you sound that wins competitions - it's the whole package. And an important part of that package is how you look.

Singers at the start of their careers can't spend a huge amount on clothes, but it's not necessarily what you wear, it's the way that you wear it.

Our reporter Stage-Door Jeannie brought you the highs and lows of Competition chic.

She looked at presentation and deportment as well as the actual fashions, and no-one escaped her beady eye.
