This two-DVD set, produced by BBC Opus Arte, celebrates the rich harvest of talent in the first 20 years of BBC Singer of the World in Cardiff and includes a lively documentary celebrating the origins, joys and woes, anecdotes and background of this famous event, including historic material, unique highlights and interviews with winners, participants, producers, opera house directors and accompanists who sketch the significance and uniqueness of this great Cardiff competition.

The history of the Competition
The Battle of the Baritones, the dramatic stand-off between Bryn Terfel and Dmitri Hvorostovsky in 1989.
