Frockwatch: Top Female Competitor

Edyta Kulczak (Photo: Brian Tarr)

Stage Door Jeannie's choice for the best-dressed female competitor is Edyta Kulczak from Poland, who took part in Concert 5 and Recital 3.

Edyta Kulczak has emerged as the best dressed woman this week. For her recital, she wore a perfect black dress, closely fitted with lots of tiny buttons down the front, a full skirt edged with tiny pleats. She looked like an Impressionist painter's model.

Her concert dress inspired many women in the audience. Red, closely fitted, tulip-draped to create a bustle. It was strapless but as several audience members said, "You never worried that it might slip" - an audience hates to be worried about an outfit's instability. And as a final Impressionist touch, a slim black ribbon around her neck. Perfect!
