Find out more about Good Morning Wales presenter Rhun ap Iorwerth, a political expert who knows a thing or two about early starts.
Rhun has presented Good Morning Wales since 2005, but he joined BBC Wales as a journalist back in 1994, and ever since has been a regular voice and face on BBC Wales TV and radio news. He was Chief Political Correspondent during the early years of the National Assembly for Wales.
Rhun says he feels lucky to have enjoyed a huge variety in his work over the years - from presenting television programmes like the Politics Show and Dragon's Eye, to covering politics on radio and television in Welsh and in English - and says presenting Good Morning Wales gives him that variety every day.
"I've always been a news junkie, and presenting the programme is a great way to be in the thick of it and keep on top of what's going on in Wales and the world.
"I also love sport which is a very important part of the programme, and enjoy chatting to people in general - be it the Prime Minister, a local character or an international sports star - whoever pops up on the programme next!"
On getting up early in the morning, Rhun says:
"I like to squeeze as much as I can out of each day... and there's no better way of doing that than by getting up at 4am.
"People ask me... 'how do you do it?' I say - 'Get a good alarm clock'!"
